I had the same thing happen but I'm betting it was the result of a mechlab error. I saved up 6.6 mil cbills to buy a mech and after I finished purchasing it the mechlab locked up and it didn't show anything missing, cbills or MC. I force quit the program and came back in to find MC missing. It could have been my fault, maybe I clicked on the wrong button and then it crashed, but I'm not counting out some sort of an issue with how often it crashes out for me. I submitted a ticket less than five minutes after the purchase and I've been back and forth with their various departments for over a week now with no sign of resolution in sight, either in favor of or against me swapping the currency out. If this was my own error and just a freak coincidence it crashed when it did then I guess that's my bad? But if I send you a ticket less than five minutes after I purchased the mech, and you can prove that on your end, there isn't much excuse for not refunding it or doing the exchange. It's virtual money. It's not even real money. It's two minutes of somebody's time, and provides a positive user experience.

And if I did lose it as the result of some screwup on my end or their server and I don't get that cash back it's straight robbery.

Figure I repost this in here since it covers the same subject matter.

So im a little annoyied that they still havent gotten around a mech preview when purchasing. Im all about ballisitic weapons so i was looking at the mechs and decided to buy the dragon cause it has 3 ballistic hardpoints. Well turns out all 3 ballistic hardpoints are in the same spot so it really limits the firepower i wanted to put on it. When i went to sell it, it wasnt even worth half of the purchase price which is ridicilous.

The devs either have to give us some mech details on where the hardpoints are on the mech when we are buying, or they have to give us the ability to refund for full within a certain time frame incase the mech configuration is not what is desired. I was hoping that the torso spots would have at least 1 hardpoint for ballistic.

Speaking of ballisitc mechs where the heck are the ballistic focused mechs, too many laser/lrm boats no real ballistic mechs in the whole lot.

One piece of software I support specifically says, "It is recommended that you create a back before upgrading the software. Would you like to close the installer and create a backup file now? Yes/No?" I can't even count the number of calls about how our installer crashes endlessly no matter what they do when all they had to do was READ THE MESSAGE.

Well, perhaps you should have made clear that your QA-department is located at PGI?

Usually, i also expect a software to work, and crashes, weird behaviour and ESPECIALLY data loss should be the very rare exception - and most likely to user error like turing off the computer while saving or apllying updates...

Shamelessly bumping the thread because of update and devs watching...
