Something tells me you're going to enjoy taking dual ppcs to the cockpit.

Gauss rifles are probably the most similar to WOT, and even more damage per hit... Get that Devastator in game! Dual PPC and Dual Gauss to the face for the instagib! There's no way that will cause anyone to be upset ;)

i wouldn't completely quit but definitely will be on mechwarrior online 10 times more. i haven't invested a single penny anyways into world of tanks, its a fun game but i hate the penetration mechanics in it. you put that with the fact their match making puts you up against people in 3-4 tiers higher and that penetration mechanics ruins that match for you.

hopefully there ain't no heat output needed for the lasers to be higher then the armor heat tolerance and you need to buy gold lasers to do dmg to mechs in this game or it be like world of tanks lol.

so, some early data from the poll I put on WOT, because someone pointed out that this isn't the most unbiased place to put this poll

http://forum.worldof...-habits-on-wot/

not that many people have posted (41) but the early data from there doesn't look good for WOT
43% will have little or no time for WOT once MWO comes out
another 26% will be splitting their time

and more to the point...
36% say they will only pay for MWO
19% say they will be paying for both
17% never spend money

I know it is a small sample size... but that is BAD for WOT if that is an accurate sample

sorry for the necro, but I thought I would put an update on the WOT forums poll here...

72 people have now voted there, and the thread seems to be dead now

47% will have little or no time for WOT once MWO comes out
another 29% will be splitting their time

and more to the point...
38% say they will only pay for MWO
22% say they will be paying for both
18% never spend money

again, not a large sample size, but since the poll seems to be dead, I thought I would update this with the final numbers

I voted yes as well, although I am not a WoT player.

It is interesting to see that even on the WoT forums that the same trend that exists here is present there. Normally, you could say that the poll here is slanted so hard because the people that are registered here are the ones that care for MWO than WoT.

I don't know about you all, but I thought that WoT SUCKED! Mostly because I kept getting one-shotted in my front armour. THE FRONT ARMOUR. THE MOST HEAVILY ARMORED PART OF A TANK.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAX!

In short, screw WoT. GIANT ROBOTS ARE BETTER THAN TANKS.

Eeeermmm... depends on what tier you were taking against... Ohh and not for all tanks... the IS-4 has more armor on the sides than in the front. Also you gotta learn about tank's "weak spots"... Ammo racks... Engine placements... Penetrating areas... etc etc... Just saying, WoT has more realistic mechanics than anyone can believe on the first place, so its kinda useless just grab a tank with a big gun and pew pew away...

One thing ill miss in WoT is calculating the time between each shots from the enemy and take advantage of it... you'll just get constantly under fire in MWO untill your mech is blown away... hoping that they stop shooting or trying to get behind something untill the screen is not blurred anymore so you can actually shoot back... lol

Speaking personally, I think it's too early to be asking this question. I'm liking a lot of what I hear about MWO, but who knows how it will actually all pan out at release? The proof is in the pudding, as they say.

In any case, I can't see myself giving up WoT completely. It has its share of problems, and it's true that it's best taken in moderate doses, preferably with good platoon-mates (solo grinding is a recipe for burnout). But there's a lot about it that I like, and it'd be hard to ditch my clan to play MWO exclusively. Ultimately the balance I arrive at will depend on how good MWO is.
