I really dont see the problem here.. you have a professional team of devs, a really dedicated fanbase who want to help you make this game great.. but you cant be arsed to put out more than 2 patches a month?
There are "beta" stickers all over the place.. you could put out small patches daily (or every 2 days).. "did that fix it? no? ok try this one." But now you cant really.. because you stated that there would be no more resets..

No you won't, because I can't play right now thanks to the HUD bug that constantly makes it impossible to fire your weapons.
-Start match
-Mech randomly overheats at 80% heat
-Lose HUD, Lose ability to fire, etc.
Perhaps next time announcing the lack of new patch should be done more than 20 minutes before patch time? I heard once that communication is key to the success of any relationship, apparently PGI didn't learn that even after months and months of people complaining about lack of communication.
Of course, you won't tell us what you ARE working on for the next patch either, because that makes a whole lot of sense too.
I'll check back in a week, or maybe not. Not really sure if this is worth the effort anymore.

This game has under funded written all over it. Lack of development funds is killing it. There is no way 5.2 mil would equal the product we have. This game feels like there is one talented graphics artist with a small team of programmers...in Pakistan.
5.2mil would get at least one patch a week and definitely more than 10 mechs. I've managed projects bigger than this and know what that kind of result I would get with a fraction of that budget. The lack of thought in the design screams outsourced or just enough to satisfy the requirements.
I'm sorry but you can't fool us all. I'm not sure how long this post will stay up before you delete it but it needed to be said. Get your act together and stop lying to your customers.

Really love the communication, even when there's not much to communicate. Appreciate it, thanks a lot!
EDIT: This is being quoted as a sarcastic comment, but I was being genuine. I appreciate the heads up that there will be no patch today. I didn't expect a patch, but apparently some folks on the forum did, and I think it's great that Garth chimed in to let people know not to expect anything. Even when there is nothing to say, I thinking there is value in SAYING there is nothing to say so people don't expect more.

You know you can disengage, and go power down. This happens when the automatic shutdown is interrupted in just the right way, I've done it myself and watched teammates go through it.
Anyway, a full power down cycle usually clears it up for us so far, if that doesn't work, I'd reinstall the client and see if that helps(move or wipe custom cfgs to test).

As it is now you have people looking on all Tuesdays because the expectation that's been set is for weekly.

I've just finished playing 12 matches without a single issue on my end. There are a few bugs here and there, but coming on here demanding patches, good or bad, when you want them, is not very supportive.
Take a break, come back later. Things change all the time.
On another note, if you are getting bad crashes, etc. E-mail their support team with your DxDiag and Crash Dump if applicable. Help them, help us with our gaming experience.
For those that do not know where the Crash Dump is, it is in the ~Piranha Games/MechWarrior Online/USER directory.
Only send the crash dump if you experienced a crash, all other issues use the DxDiag, make sure your drivers are up to date, and that your DxDiag is up to date.

Really. October marked the first year of development and while I agree on bug fixes being implemented a bit more often, they were blasted to hell and back when they released the Cry Engine Patch. So now they are probably playing it safe. Maybe we'll get a hotfix patch this week. Content patch every two weeks is fine. I would rather them be making there deadlines.

I have been wondering about this myself. They have effectively been on a bi weekly schedule since....well forever. They stated they were going to weekly for smaller patches, but only once have they done 2 weeks in a row.
Not complaining, but you might want to rethink the policy of weekly patches if you cant keep to them.

Keep drinking the cool aid.
May I ask why you are on these boards? Seriously, Im not being nsakry. If you think so little of the game, why on earth would a patch matter to you? Seems like you would not care or way or the other.

I was not being sarcastic -- it was a positive post. I really love the fact that Garth probably saw on the forums that some folks were talking about a possible patch today, and he took the time to let everyone know there wouldn't be one so it didn't spin out of control. Even if there isn't much to say, I think there is a lot of value in chiming in and SAYING that there isn't much to say, just to help align expectations.

I'm not sure what nsakry means but I get your point, I think.
I'm here because I'm in love with what this game could be. Do you think this is the normal cycle for video game development? Do you think this "project" is being managed properly?
I'm sure they could have raised all the funds they needed by turning to crowdfunding. They would have raised enough capitol to do the game justice. Now they can't even do that because they already said they raised 5.2 mil. Why would they need more than that?
I'm just calling it how I see it. Apparently with a tin foil hat on according to the guy that can't divide 5.2 mil by the average price of a founders package.

Exactly, unless there wasn't much work being done.

-Block letters/flashing screen on game entry
-Gold screen on game entry
-Entering games with unrepaired internals even though the mech lab said they were at 100% health
-Paper doll not updating so you can't tell how you die
-Randomly dropping to 4 fps (slideshow)
Oh well.
I highly recommend a reinstall, if you haven't tried that. I have had various issues over the course of closed and open beta, and when a solution was not readily available I would reinstall. This has fixed every issue so far, including one I'd been suffering since the last patch.
