It's time for the big kahunas. The walking Dreadnaughts. The things that will still get ruined by a Clan medium come 3050. What's your favorite old school Assault 'Mech?

I'm tempted to vote for the Atlas, since it's original drawing is, perhaps, the best 'Mech picture ever.

However, everyone and their mom seems to redesign the Atlas away from this beauty. The new MW:O Atlas, though quite bad-***, just doesn't have the same old-school-cool.

Therefore my vote goes for the goofy-looking, diversely-weaponed Stalker.

The Victor will do until I can get a Devastator. Because the only thing better (or worse depending on perspective) than an AC/20 round to the face is 2 gauss rounds and 2 PPCs to the face.

ZEU-6S Zeus baby. LRM15 paired to an A\C5. 4/6 mvmt curve. plenty of armor, med lasers for close support, and the large laser is just icing on the cake, it's either that or ol' stompy AS7-D Atlas.

I have to go for the Marauder II myself, if only because it's the most iconic mech from my childhood. I could never figure out if Macross stole the design from Battletech or if Battletech stole the design from Macross

Marauder II, the PPC's are strong primary weapons, you can always switch to the LB-X should you start to overheat.

Also, it looks pretty badass.
