Well this will make a bunch of folks happy!

It certainly made me happy!
I always use the Raven when I must use a light 'mech. Elsewise I prefer to use a medium or heavy.
Sadly clan tech probably won't come out for a while. The clan invasion of 3050 brought them to the IS: and the timeline has not reached that yet. I wait eagerly.

Frankly, I'm not too happy to see the Raven, even though I knew it was coming due to its popularity and the everyone-has-a-role design paradigm PGI is going for. I feel the Raven gets too much exposure in the vidya. Move over and let some less-seen or never-seens get some glory.

Anyway, FlyingDebris pulls through again. I've always thought the Raven was badly proportioned, with its gigantic cockpit relative to its torso. This thing's beautiful, and that makes up for my previous complaints.

But not for it being painted in Fedscum colors.

Sure, if you like mechs that take critical hits if you sneeze on them.

i would highly recommend zooming in real close to that davion logo...

Anyone figure this out yet ?

I'm guessing he's hinting at he faint letter on the front of the "crotch" that looks like DIH8 or something like that.

Salvaged mech from some previous battle ?

Cheers

I think that is the first one where the original art is decidedly better than the new. It lost the beak.

Not a fan of this one. It's certainly similar to a Raven, but to me, it doesn't really capture the "feel" of the original. The body of this design looks canine to me, while the original was more avian. I feel like this design needs more of a "beak."

My 2 cents.

Oh wow.

The Raven is so... daintly and cute!

Alright, you have me tied now. I don't know anymore if I want to have a Jenner or a Raven. I always had a soft spot for the Raven.

of course a Davion Raven. My favorite house by far. and my favorite mech. I can tell ya watch out for Iceman486 (that's me) in this thing. I make a mean Raven Chassis and don't think your safe in an Atlas i can eat those. Trust me. the Raven can be deadly if played right.

I'd have to disagree. The curve on the old design strikes me as a little weird. The new design looks a lot more focused and cleaner.

I'm going to guess that was a NARC Beacon that made a land on the guy's 'Mech.

any mech in any weight class is deadly if played right. but honestly, how many will play a mech he or she is in 100% correct 100% of the time? and what i mean before the pitchforks and torches come out is this: right for the player IN the mech, to his or her style and personality.

all this love for such a fragile machine... an arrow IV or a orbital strike should end this.

All machines are fragile, for humans are better at destroying than creating.
Even an Atlas is as nothing against a proper orbital strike.
It is in the fleeting moments, in the dance to avoid destruction, that a mech finds beauty.
Assault mechs are awfully heavy on their feet.
