battletech experience: all non-dark age books and quite a few of those as well. I started with MW2: Mercs, beat that plus the original MW2 and ghost bear expansion. played MW3 but never beat it, beat MW4: Mercs and play living legends on occasion. though i am a tanker there more than anything. Never played tabletop battletech, though not for the lack of trying, not one plays it in my area...

Also, if you ever wanted to try out playing table-top, there is a game version on a site called megamek.com.
It misses some parts of the experience, but for just playing it, it's good.
