I have taken Mattlov and Icaza, now I will go for Hazen. And does anyone else get goosebumps when they read that section of the Jade Phoenix Trilogy?

I got goosebumps from all three novels. Which section in particular are you speaking of?

A search of the forums has revealed there are 101 Prydes.

Did you see what I was saying about Vlad, Stormwolf?

Wow, I was really close with my estimate.

I get what you are saying about Vlad, I think that I might omit that part entirely from the article later on to avoid discussions.

Yeah a lot of parts stand out:
- When Aiden singlehandedly takes on a horde of Comstar mechs to protect his daughter.
- When Aiden, Joanna and Ter go on trial.
- When Aiden reveals he is a Trueborn.
- The Bloodright trials.
- The failed Trial of Position.

Good parts all.

Cannot wait to see what happens to all those Prydes.

For those who do not want to go through the entire spreadsheet for the list of Bloodnames, here are the Founders of all the Bloodlines from the original warriors who created the initial clans.

The quoted part in the last page, I can see such things happening in all of Kerensky's clans.

Quote

A Trueborn's birth is planned from the start, the genetic material of a trueborn is selected from two bloodnamed warriors. These bloodnamed warriors are the gene-father and gene-mother (note that gender is unimportant since a woman could potentially be gene-father and vice versa). This genetic material is then used to create a batch of artificially conceived children which are grown in artificial wombs (iron wombs).

Hmm... how is this handled? can someone give me an example? need that information for character creation.

I also want to know how the genes are chosed.
Do they have to be two different names or can they be two (not related) members of the same house?

@Jaroth, why does everybody forget the Blood Spirits. Is it because it was not named for some smelly totem animal?

;-)

And has anybody figured how to remove that part of the intial name those of us who used Bloodnames input?

You are missing four Clans. By my memory, they would be the Blood Spirits, Burrocks, Ice Hellion, and Jade Falcon.

While the first three didn't show up in the initial Invasion, the last one is rather important.

What are you guys talking about? The question was about how warriors are created regarding the whole DNA splicing procedure. He did not ask about a specific Clan.

this is a line from your post:

"For those who do not want to go through the entire spreadsheet for the list of Bloodnames, here are the Founders of all the Bloodlines from the original warriors who created the initial clans."

that is why we are getting after your omissions.

Oooooooooooooooooh! you are referring to the earlier posts lol. I was wondering WTH was going on. My last reply was to Andar89's requests for more info on how trueborns are created.

I see the omissions. *insert facepalm emoticon here*

I did take a pic of Ice Hellion/Jade Falcon; not sure how I forgot to insert it.

I did not take a pic of Blood Spirit/Burrock. Apparently it was at the end of a page & I overlooked it. Apologies. Will correct now.

EDIT: OK Blood Spirit, Burrock, Ice Hellion & Jade Falcon added. Sorry again. ;)

So with the release of the Historical: Operation Klondike sourcebook, it would appear that the original excel sheet is outdated & contains mistakes. This is in NO way the fault of the original architect of that document. He/she was working with the information available at the time & I am forever grateful to him/her for the patience it required to compile such an extensive list. However with the new info available, I am doing a complete overhaul of the Bloodname list. I have finished A & just started B.

Corrected the Redmond & Pershaw Bloodname origins & added notes to that effect.

Confirmed Ahmad is a typo for Ahmed.

Updated existing Bloodnames with the names of their Founders, in the cases where they were missing.

Added the following Bloodnames:

A

Albiev, McLain CFM
Andrunache, Elodie CFM
Aliychuk, Daniel CHH
Adkins, Masanori CSR
Ajete, Meng CSA
Amoyan, Nazyr CSA
Ashby, Grant CSA
Ayvazian, Miguel CSV
Aamodt, Nicola CWv
Abrosimova, Hiroko CWv
Artemev, Olga CWv

now onto more pressing matters. How are we going to settle the matter of all the people claiming the Kerensky name?

Well that one is easy for me, I think I am the only clanner that has no desire to have a bloodname.
