If you are going to maintain that it takes unlocking all 8 basics for 3 different mechs of the same type, the centrurian is far from fair compared to other mechs, It needs a FAIR priced 3rd centurian.
Previously there asn't a 3rd your could by with CB, you had to pay MC for the YLW. People were told there would be a 3rd option you could buy with CB. We had no clue the outrageous price we would have to pay.
Centurian CN9-A 3,697,080
Centurian CN9-AL 3,552,238
Centurian CN9-D 8,158,590
I don't want a CN9-D, I don't like the load out. It didn't exist when I bought my other Centurian with the plans of making it elite. I never expected that ridiculous price for a medium mech.
The only other mech that has such a high jump is the Cicada because it does have a 7 million mech, but it has 3 other choices for 3 million, so you can skip that crazy price.
All of the Hunchbacks are are under 4 million
All of the Dragons are 5 million or under
All of the catapults are under 6 million
4 of the awesomes are under 7 million and one is over 11
Only the Atlas forces you to pay more for a mech you may note even want, so you can make the one you do want elite. And the cheapest atlas is only 1 million more than that Centurian.
It would be great to get that 3rd fair priced centurian. Thanks.

Need A Fair Priced 3Rd Centurian Option.

It has an XL Engine, that's why it is so expensive.

I see his point, he only needs the 3rd centurion to get to Elite and it costs a bit more to get at.
But don't let the Atlas pilots hear you complain, all 3 variants of theirs costs quite a bit more to do than it does for us humble Centurion pilots. I assume they'll add more variants over time just gotta deal with it.

To expand on Squarefox's sttement:
The CN9-D comes with an XL Engine, CASE, an Endo Steel skeleton, an Artemis IV FCS, and an LB 10-X autocannon.
It's packing a substantial amount of recovered LosTech for its size, and LosTech is expensive...
'Twould be nice to have the CN9-AH back, yes?
