I another Wednesday passed and we wanted (anticipated, expected due to some chatter from the Devs.. etc.. ) a Closed (or even Open) Announcement..

But as Mark Knopfler was so eloquent in singing..

I anticipated a BattleMech reveal. It's silly to expect anything else. Just assume there IS no beta. It's a lot less taxing on your sanity.

Wednesday Surprise 6

April 25th: Even I will be surprised at this release

How is this construed as being more than a mech release that even the poster does not have full knowledge of? The Wednesday Suprise for the last several months has been a mech? Did they say is was going to be anything but a mech? No, they just said they'd be surprised by it, IE he didn't know what mech, and probably wouldn't know until then himself.

Agreed! Why... in my day we had to walk 5 miles in the snow uphill. We'd all huddle around the radio in the town library and listen to FD read off what the mech looked like. We'd all try and follow his directions while he instructed us how to draw it.
That how it was, and we liked it, we LOVED it. Waaaay back in the day of Battlemech - 1

I, for one, have no problem with Chuckie's post. It's about disappointment matched with acceptance. Granted, I'm not keeping myself all twitchy in anticipation for the Beta, but at least he's not asking for demanding more from the developers because that'll just get you in Dire Straits.
