I've noticed that when I purchase items in the mechlab and add them to my mech, it'll cause me to be locked into the mechlab tab but I can't click to get to the loadout subtab or back to the main tab or launch a game.

To get past this without restarting client (which works too but takes a while), you can click settings (on the lower left) -> options -> cancel and you'll be able to use the main tab and mechlab tabs again. If you go to the main tab and then back to the mechlab, now you can get to the loadout subtab. Then you can put the stuff back on your mech that you just bought but doesn't stay on the mech after saving. I haven't found a way around that bug yet.

Love the game!

This seems to happen every time I remove something and then put something else in it's place. The workaround I use is that I first remove stuff, then save my loadout and only after that add the new stuff.

tried the options trick, it resulted in all mech values going to zero and getting "invalid loadout" error message. I can only get it to correct by logging out/in.

It does seem to happen when you unequip something, then put something "new" into the same slot, maybe its failing on the "Buy & swap" routine or something since it doesnt actually buy the thing until you click save.

Maybe its trying to buy & place the new item without removing the old one first? cause thats what the end result is when you log back in, the new item is purchased but the old one is still equipped.

Happens to me mostly if I try to config a NOT fully repared mech!

Workaround doesn't work as expected: machlab is unfreezed again, but my mechs disapear! Seems like a connection/synchro error! Have to restart the client anyway! :-(

I used to have this issue every single time in the MechLab. However, I have found the following:

Workaround:
Click the "Deselect Mech" button over the mech paper doll on the bottom and verify that the "+" on the top left of the mech is removed. Edit anything/everything you desire. Save mech. (It may quickly revert back to the prior loadout, but will sync up instantly thereafter.) Click the "Select Mech" button over your mech with the new loadout and verify the "+" in the top left of the paper doll. Ready Up!

mechbay is invisible if mechlab stucks! so no way to select/deselect any mech! after entering an leaving option menu, select/deselect doesn't response!

Right. However, the only way I have ever gotten to that point is if I changed my loadout, especially my armor settings, without doing the steps I laid forth previously. At a complete freeze, I must restart the client for everything to start working as intended.

I've had to restart the game everytime I've bought and added anything new to a mech (even armor..if I had to BUY it to put more on), BUT it only started happening after I upgraded to double-heatsinks on one of them.

Has happened whenever I've bought a new mech or on various item purchases, handy fix!

Just bought my first mech yesterday and started dealing with this freeze. I've been relogging like mad.

Yes, if you remove everything. . save it. . go back and add stuff. . then save it. . . it USUALLY won't do this.

I had this happen about 25 times yesterday as I was working on a PoS 9-AL, I spent more time relogging than I did in matches.
