Consider the following video with added voices and sounds from MW2:

I agree, the soundscape in this game has so far been very lacklustre, which doesn't do well for the overall feel of polish.

I will cream myself when there is any type of inbound missle alert.

we have that big generic red warning text flashing, exactly like all the other alarms. how is that not enough?!?

I miss good sound of
PPC: electric, lighting, ionizing, knistering. non ballastic sound.
Gauss: soundshock mw4, non air pressure canon ...
computer status voice
more agressive sound of SLas and MLas similar to large but tunned down

I know! I really wish they were more aggressive with the sounds they make. Half the time, a person doesn't know the base is being captured or they have incoming missiles for that very reason.

When you hit someone with a gauss at close range, you should damn well hear the slugs going BAM into the metal!

I really like some of the sound design. The fact that I can tell that enemies are coming down the tunnel, and approximately what mass they are, by the sound of their foot steps is *really* cool.
The gauss and ballistic sound effects are very underwhelming, though.

I basically ignore those anymore as there are so many of them. Then sometimes they don't even come up when they are supposed to, particularly when there is somebody on your point.
