CTF-2X, eh? Not bad, not bad... almost makes me wish SRMs grouped close enough or flew fast enough to be effective as an arm-mounted flyswatter...

Like the look and it is fairly close to its concept art. The only thing that looks off to me is it looks like the mech was photoshopped into that pic though? It's feet just don't even look to be standing on the rock lol

Nah, the lighting angles and everything look like a match - If anything, the model's probably still being refined and may be appearing to "float". I think this was an issue with several 'mechs in the earlier days of the beta.

SRM pack looks very oversized. Compare it with arm packs of the Commando or belt pack of the Atlas. Their SRM-6 is smaller than that massive box of SRM-4.

What do I think?

I think I'm still not done LOL-ing at the implications of the Cataphract :)

I'm more intruiged by the positioning of the feet. Original screenshots showed footpads conforming to angles of the terrain, something that was eventually disabled and is no longer present. This looks almost like they've brought it back...

That or the thing has a horrible gimp foot when it walks.

The way it's left foot is tilted makes me wonder if maybe they improved the way feet/legs interact with differences in terrain.

...I know that was a pretty common complaint back in closed beta.

max engine size is 340. No use if you go above 325 imho (this being the max engine of the Highlander as well).

Man that thing is wider than I thought. But at least it's a new heavy to play around with (I only play dragons, atlas and hunchs.. I don't like anything else I desperately need new mechs!), can't wait to get one.

I like that we are getting to see the franken mech into the game before the clan invasion and clan mechs come. We get to see some of the "body parts" of some unseen like the marauder that will make the arm for the mad cat for example. At least thats how I see it.

I give a try at a request. How about a shot with 3(+) mechs in it?

After all these comments it reminds me of a gorilla... ...big monkey arms lol.

Looks like it could have some big torso/cockpit hitboxes..

But yeah, it does look pretty cool :)

So in a way that means we've gotten three Unseen already. They've just been rolled into one Frankenmech, that's all. Now if only we could find a way to split them apart. ;)

Can't wait to get my hands on it.
Despite the doomsayers: garblegarbleheadshootgarblenoshadowblablabla
Nobody complains about the Catapult anymore. Every Mech will have its weaknesses and strength.
What I would like to see is a lance of Awsome 9M standing tall on a hill blasting away with their PPCs on a poor target in the vicinity. ( We did this with two upgraded Q and two slightly modyfied 9M and the whail of the GausKittys and LRM spammers was incredible satisfactory) ;)
