Ok so I have 3 variants of the Centurion and finished Basic Efficiencies on them all to unlock Elite.
The text is pretty straightforward "Unlock All basic on 3 variants of this chassis to unlock elite"

Now to unlock Master the text is "Unlock all elite on 3 variants of this weight class to unlock Master". My question is will the 3 Centurions count for that or is the "3 variants of weight class" referring to a different chassis, like the Hunchback and Cicada?

So do I have to buy and level 9 mechs (3 chassis, 3 variants of each) to get to Master or am I reading that wrong?

Unlocks are by chassis.
