STK-6M - Irian’s attempt to make up for the shortcomings of the 5M, the 6M drops the SRMs entirely, upgrades the LRMs to 15-tube racks with integral Artemis IV FCS, and upgrades the lasers to ER versions, mounting a fifth medium. Most importantly, the LRM magazines are now protected with CASE, BV (1.0) = ?, BV (2.0) = 2,029
So does that mean they will add ER Medium Lasers at the same time? Or maybe even before then?

I believe it refers specifically to ER large lasers.

(someone mentioned it as a chicken-legged assault...well, it doesn't technically have chicken legs...the knees bend forward, not back...)

The STK-6M doesn't come into existence until 3062; the ISN report would likely be referring to either (or both) of the STK-5M or STK-5S (both of which make their debut in 3050).

Not in MWO. It's chicken legged.
Also, the TRO image of the Stalker had legs that bended both ways. It was an abomination, and I still shudder when I think of it.
I personally made the first chicken legged Stalker artwork that I know of (for MekTek's Mechpacks), and I got quite a lot of flak for doing so from various hardcore "must follow the TRO even if it's bad art" fans of the TT game.
Yes I knew how the TRO "artwork" went, I didn't care, I was doing it the way I felt worked best. The Stalker was always a favorite of mine EXCEPT for the artwork. I'm pretty damned happy to see the Stalker going the way I viewed it (not saying anyone's following my idea, just that they think the same way).
