I just joined up with these guys a few weeks back and I'm nothing short of impressed. I wasn't sure how it would be to be part of a group with no formal leadership but it's exactly what I was looking for. Everyone does what they want and how they want to do it but also everyone that I've seen is willing to take the reigns when needed and start a group, fill in, or help out. There is no lack of commitment here but everyone who commits does so because they choose to. Not because they were forced or coerced into it.
From the moment I logged into teamspeak I felt welcome and respected. Everyone I've met has been helpful, friendly, and willing to play with anyone at any time. If your looking for a home without restrictions or commitments this is the place for you.

I have been grouping with these guys for a few weeks now and I have been quite happy with my experience here. Everyone is friendly and willing to help. There is no pressure to commit to a group, play as much or as little as you like. Groups form up and dissipate and reform again. Its a no drama, no judgement, hassle free place to come play, learn, or just hang out and talk.
Highly recommended for anyone new to MWO that wants a better experience in the game!

The Lone Wolves are a well rounded group. Many among the pack are fast becoming vets, but they also welcome in the fresh blood. No rank is pulled, because, well, there is no rank. And that is how we like it.
We may not have a clan, house or "official" merc unit, but that is to our advantage. Let them underestimate the Lone Wolves, it will be their undoing.

Hey peoples. Saw this thread, and am honestly intrigued. I enjoy Mechwarrior Online for it's pick-up-and-play 15 minute games, and to me, a Clan would kinda rub against that grain. Went to look at the site, but Enjin is down for maintenance right now, so boo. Was gonna install Teamspeak next time I got on anywho, so if you guys are still game for laughing at rookies, I'd love to game with ya as soon as I've applied where I need to and talked to who I have to.
Been at Mechwarrior for about a week now, but I'm loosely familiar with the table-top, and I've always loved a good, deep Mech game (Armored Core is a lovely, lovely thing). I'm liking the deliberate nature of the fights, and how they call for more strategy than twitch-gameplay. Currently driving a Cicada 2-A, still tweaking the loadout to get it just where I want it. I've got the basics down, and I survive at least as often as I blow up, so that's progress. Will check out the page as soon as I'm able.

We'll be glad to have ya. I'm sure Opus will have the site back up in no time.

zraven, I'm sure the Lone Wolves would be happy to have a new rookie to laugh at as long as the rookie can handle the peril!
My experience has been that even if you only want to play 15-30 minutes, it's not uncommon for a group to need a 3rd or 4th or there's even a pug room to hang out in and chat with anyone who stops on by. So swing on in the boards when they're back up, hop on TS, and tell Opus he's a dirty no-goodnik and I think everyone will get along fine. =)

Just had my first couple of groups with these guys. Are great to game with, all around. Everyone offers jokes and advice. I highly recommend this to anyone not wanting "Clan" drama.

Back on topic... As you can see above we have a lot of fun here as well. I think we spend more time laughing and joking than not. However don't let that fool you. We know how to get down to business when the time comes. When the Mechs drop so does the silliness and it's time for battle.
I'd like to say welcome to all the new folks that have been coming to the Wolves recently, and to anyone who is still on the fence I say, come on over. There is certainly nothing to lose and if it's not for you we hold no grudges against pilots that part ways. Quite the opposite really. We see it as an opportunity to get to know more people outside of our crew.
I hope to see you all soon!
