We ran against each other mostly but the Lone Wolfs were constantly the top damage producers in each match

"Then we have factions, and factions are NPC factions. They belong to the universe, they're a part of the lore. These are the great houses of BattleTech.
"These guys participate in territory control in a more passive way. Their matches affect the universe, but indirectly.
"And then you have the Merc Corps. These are the guilds, these are the clans, these are the guys who come together, band together, fight together and play together and actually want to control as much territory as they can through their actions.
The lone wolf play style is what players currently have in the game today; the NPC factions will be free-to-play; the Merc Corps, on the other hand, will be monetized. "We're looking at possibly charging a one-time setup fee," Ekman said. "This is just to make sure there's not a flood of one-player corps.
A Question asked by our current members - "How do we make the Lone Wolfs a legit in the eyes of PGI?""
We have to face several truths about being Lone Wolfs
1: Lone Wolfs are just that Solo Pilots - In the eyes of many we are the canon fodder for more dedicated players
I saw this as an affront and determined that it would not be so; By creating Lone Wolf Website I accomplished what I thought would be the best of both words. We can be dedicated to a game we love, and still maintain our freedom
2: Lone Wolfs, A Legit Corps? - Within Lone Wolfs (Yes) Legit Corps can form up, and operate and provide "Opportunities" for Lone Wolf Pilots
Far be it from anybody to stop a pilots growth, but we must maintain our Individualistic Ideals, so "WE" in itself - becomes an Oxymoron/Paradox
3: The Lost Ones - Lone Wolfs & Solo Pilots still Pugging and becoming disenchanted
If you really want to have Lone Wolfs become threat or true Legit standing within MWO - we need more Lone Wolfs; we need to help those Solo Pilots as well - Until then MWO views these pilots as Coin Players - ( Example: A Casino, it views Slot machine players as vagabond revenue source; that is constant growth but not having to pay out more than 3% of profits in the 95% category, allowing 2% or new equipment)
4: Loss of Freedom - This is the single biggest threat to our view of Lone Wolfs Freedom. By PGI forcing MercCorps to "pay to play -> together" we have to address how we want to do this.
I don't know what to think yet - I figure We'll cross that bridge once we get there.

That kinda beats the purpose of this "band" of players, does it ?
EDIT:
I strongly disagree with PGI comments about Lone Wolves, especially roleplay-wise and dedication-wise.
I mean, I'm all in for the lore and role playing in this game and few thousands of my drops will back up dedication part, but I refuse to be a part of something that is constricted in various limits and boundaries, lore-wise and RP-wise not just in practical (in-game) way.
I pledge for no one except myself and my comrades in arms ! Down with houses, down with clans !!!!

Still thankyou to Opus and all the other guys who started this wonderful system. I have had more fun dropping with the Lone Wolfs then any of the other facations.
