I played 3 matches of MWO yesterday 11/15/2012 around 10am in the morning logged out and did some school work than shut down my computer. When I attempted to log back onto my computer I got a file missing error message and my computer would not boot up. Since the only online activity I did was play mech warrior online, I was woundering if other players have experienced this issue.

Probably coincidence.

This is generally indicative of an issue with your hardware, either the BIOS setting for your primary boot device was reset (best case scenario), an issue with the SATA controller on the board leading it to not initialise the hard disk properly at boot up, some damage or corruption to data in the boot sector of the disk or - and this is, unfortunately, more likely - outright hard drive failure.

You don't happen to be running an OCZ SSD do you? ;)

Such things are typically a coincidence... Like something malicious killed your boot manager at the same time.

Highly unlikely MWO has anything to do with it. It looks like either your hard-drive's file system got corrupted (indicating potential hardware failure) or your PC was infected with malware/viruses which tampered with the boot manager and broke it.

Yeh I got the promt to repair, but when I put my windows 7 disk into the dvd/rw it went to full install. I figured it was a virus, the only sites I've been on in the last 6 months are either related to college course work or MWO. Still reinstalling my apps from back up files.

Haven't installed a SSD on this rig yet.
