There is a bug with the arms or stubs where the weapons are mounted. Rather than follow the mouse, the circle indicator lags behind the cross hair recticle when you twist the upper torso.

This makes aiming on the move near impossible to land a solid hit in one location.

This is the only Mech that has this problem. The closest comparison, "Jenner" arms do not move side to side at all, just up and down.

I do not remember if the Raven had this issue or not, but in any rate, if the arms move side to side at all they should track with the mouse like ALL other mechs, not lag behind the crosshairs like a wet noodle.

It's a fact that some mechs have no lower arm actuators, limiting their arms to faster vertical movement.
No lower arm actuator = follows torso movement (eg.Yen Lo Wang, Raven, Jenner, Catapult ect)

It shouldn't really be a problem on those mechs, since they get a wider turn radius (ridiculous turn radius on Raven and Catapult) to make up for it.

Yes, I know... The point was, the arm targeting recticle shouldn't ever move in the opposite direction the torso is on these mechs. If there is no actuator, then there should be no left right movement at all. If the actuator allows a "pintle" type minor adjustments then mouse input should control this...

right now its wet noodle inertia based which is wrong and madenning

-EDIT- To clarify:

When you move the mouse any direction, with any mech, the circle moves before the crosshairs.

On the Cicada 2b, The circle moves first UP and DOWN, but left to right it lags behind the center crosshair making the arm mounted weapons 100% worthless unless shooting from a dead stop.

OK....used general XP to finish off the 2b, and swiched back to the 2A. The 2A has the same issue with the left / right action of the arms but doesn't affect the mech because hte weapon hardpoints are in the shoulders.

The arm lag shouldn't matter much on those mechs either, since they often hold missile or laser weapons.

I just got this mech, same problem.

Theres a possibility that there is nothing wrong with the arms. These arms might only go up and down, checked that with free look.

The problem might be the pilots point of view.

If you take the cicada and torso twist left and right real fast......ITS the PILOT's head thats out of place.

I would assume the mechs head is always straight with the torso except at the extreme ends.

When you torso twist the pilot's head floats out of place......if it didn't im betting we would have that proper line up of the torso and arms.

But since his head comes out of place we get screwed up perspective.
