I've just bought all the big things for my hbk (250 engine, ES, DHS) and the stock weapons (4xML, 2xSRM6).

With all the stuff I have 1 ton left for armor improving and I was trying to improve my rear armor because most of the time I'm dying from shoots on the back (from jenners mostly). But in the mechlab I am unable to raise the armor from the default 8 for the side torsos and 10 for the center torso.

I have not reached the max armor of 338 and it says that the max rear armor is 48 so I don't know why I can't raise it a little bit more.

EDIT: I realised that the only armor that I can raise is leg armor. I cannot put more points of armor anywhere else. Is this a bug?

Armor can reach only certain amount in certain parts. Your torso armors have been maxed out, only leg armors are not maxed out on a Hunchback.

You can however redistribute all the armor as you see fit. Note though that the same maximum armor is split by both front and rear locations of the Torso sections. For example if it says 64 Max armor for Center Torso, that means the sum of both Center Torso + Center Torso Rear can not exceed 64.

Edit: Typo.

Ok thx. It is not very obvious, specially when you see 8/64.

Yea, but it has to be this way.... otherwise you'd see people in gausscats take all their arm armor, stack it on their torso, and be better protected in the front than an atlas.

If you see rear torso armor as 8/64 you might want to consider transferring a few points from the front to the back.
One shot in the back might kill you.

I run 48/16 on the center torso and 35/13 on the sides. Much more survivable, but my legs are both sans one point of armor to get rid of an extra .2 tons that was preventing me from maxing out tonnage...
