When we went to open beta i bought a raven and sold it for cash, then bought THE Hero mech and mech bays

Got like 12 k left

Oh and converted a lot of mech XP to GXP

Most other frugal elites and golds are gonna be in simular situations. Grind for 2 hours a day, purchase a bay, get the mech you wanted, fill it with the gear you had planned. Repeat.

Founders were given mech bucks worth a certain value as part of the deal. Elites, for instance, got what in the end amounted to 20,000 MC 'for free,' and most of us are sitting pretty tightly on it.

I'm pretty close to you Vassago... I bought a pair of Awesomes right when the open started, just because I liked using them early on. Otherwise, all of my MCs have gone to buying additional mechbays and a YLW. I think I'm sitting right about 12.5K MCs. I'll be looking for a damn Hula girl for the cockpit though... won't care how much that thing costs, but I WANT IT!!!!

Not planning to spend any MC just yet. I'm happy to hold on to it for now. Like others I will use it to get the cool bling when it comes, providing the goodies not set at ridiculous MC prices, of course. The premium time button will be out of bounds until the full war pillar is in place, so @Bagheera, you're not alone buddy.

All founders got MC as part of the crowdfunding package on offer at the time. $40 worth = 10,000MC for Veterans and $80 worth = 20,000MC for Elite and Legendary. For those asking "where's my free MC?" it wasn't really free, it was part of a paid package deal.

If there was an option to gift MC or mechs to other players, I'd use my cash reserve to get my friends out of the grind, but there really isn't.

Waiting for the bling-bling and camo painter, too. My commandos will be skin colored, look like Protoman, or something equally eye-catching.

Used my MC to circumvent the initial grind, sorry pgi but i am not playing a korean mmo here and only founder mech doesnt cut it.

I still have 20,000MC and over 30Mil Cbills... because I figured out what I wanted to play during closed beta, ground it out with founders mechs, played the crap out of it and unlocked the elites... and still love playing it.

I used it to buy an Atlas-k to strip for cbills and then just decided to keep it since i like atlases anyway. that was almost 1/4 of my founders MC. Then i bought mech bays so that i have a total of 12 (4 groups of elite leveled mechs). That brought me down to about 50% of the MC i started with. The rest is going to wait for either more premium time (eventually) or depending on what they cost, paint jobs and that sort of thing. Maybe they'll release a Hero Mech that i like and i'll get that, maybe not. we'll see

I am saving it for when / if I ever want to buy premium time, or on a different hero mech. or maybe down the road i'll just dump it on a bunch of stuff like camo's and cockpit items.. dunno, but I'm definately not spending any mc or money this early in production. there's tonnes of stuff to come yet.

I bought 2 Awesomes before they said NO, to DHS. Now they are just parked.

I always thought the EASy-killed Awesome would make up for it with nice DHS 2.0 loadouts, but I guess not.

I have turned into a perfect Scrooge in this game! The thought of dipping into my 20k gives me nightmares, but then it didn't take long for me to save up for my atlas k, I use my founders D but need another two for elite! I still wish they would change that to 3 varies of assault and not 3 varies of the same chassis!

So true. Pilot ranking in MechWarrior is by Mech-Class, not Mech-Type. RP is better when it's followed. Oh well.

I've not used any MC yet - I'm saving for a Maradapult.
