Crescent Hawk's Inception was awesome. If someone wanted to upgrade it to modern graphics but keep the general game mechanics and story, I might even pay money for it. I am a software developer, but I am generally too lazy to do stuff in my free time for such projects.
Crescent Hawk's Inception was basically a Battletech RPG.
Crescent Hawk's Revenge was a Battletech
almost Realtime Strategy Game. It was basically a precursor for Dune and Command & Conquer, and much later the Mech Commander series. It was also awesome. And frigging hard.
If you liked Crescent Hawk's Inception, you might actually also like Megamek. Megamek is just the implementation of table top rules in computer form, and Crescent Hawk's Inception did not much more than that in terms of its combat engine. It layered a story and RPG elements on top of it, obviously.
You might also like Mechwarrior: Tactics.
