I recently bought some mech credits and thought I could combine them with my Cbills in mechlab when purchasing a new mech or for upgrades. Is there a way to do this?

you cannot. mc is premium money used for buying premium account time and mechs. however to arm the mechs with weapons and whatnot you will need cbills from playing hte game.


you COULD buy a mech with MC, then sell it for cbills, but you're losing a lot of $$

Not really, sorry.

you could spend your MC on mechs and sell those mechs for c-bills, but this is woefully inefficient use of your currency and I do not recommend it.

What are you hoping to purchase? How much MC do you have/are willing to spend?

Combine them?? No... tho' you can always purchase a Mech using MC's, then sell it off for C-Bills... but remember, you do NOT get full value of a Mech when you sell it... so...

But, quick, easy way to get some C-Bills... at the expense of MC's tho'...

No. Each Mech has a "Purchase MC" and "Purchase Cbills" button, to purchase them with all one or all the other. No half and half to it though.

And as for upgrades, those are currently Cbill-only. MC can be used to buy entire Mechs, or Premium Time, and that's it.

I don't think so. So far I only bought stuff with MC or c-bills only. No mix and match. :/

In closed beta stuff had different pricing based on the primevariant, so it would not have been possible. Nowadays with accurate MC to c-bill conversion factor it could actually be implemented. Maybe put up a post in the suggestions forum?

Hmm wow. Ok that stinks. I think if we had the option to combine for purchases there would be more transactions going on. At least I know I would be dropping more money for MC if I knew I could double up my purchasing power. I have 1250MC right now and have zero incentive to really buy anymore or do anything else with them. Oh well..

One of the best things you can buy with MC is premium time- The C-bill multiplier can result in some huge total C-bill profit if you play for significant chunks of playtime during your Premium Time

also mech bays! you need MC to buy mech bays to put your mechs in!

After purchasing a mech, just so you can sell it for CB you will get:

1 MC = 1250CB

Example transaction:
Atlas AS7-D = 3870 MC
sell for 4,838,000 CB

$1.00 USD = 214 MC (average between all of the packages offered)
$1.00 USD = 267,500 CB

1 double heat sink = $5.60 (ouch!)

Good thing you can not trade in MWO or people could just suicide farm for CB and sell it sweat shop style... if that were the case, they could make much more than Diablo 3 gold farming. Keep trading out is the best it seems.

You could always buy 4 mechbays, 300MC each.
Or you could purchase paint/patterns for your mech if you want to show off (and get shot first).

I get lots of my staff asking me to combine thier vacation and sick leave. One has monetary value and the other doesn't.... same case with this.

In the Game UI, BUY Cbills is not highlighted. It is darkened out.

I have more money than time, I would like to buy CBILLS.

When will this choice be available.
