I think it would be nice if we had some weapon based crosshairs. The current crosshair works pretty nice for laser based weapons. Although i often think it's not properly set for ballistic guns.
Either that or perhaps just allow for some more alternate crosshair options all together. It might not seem like it but it can effect the player performance in some manner, probably something psychological related. Older FPS games use to allow that kind of stuff, for example Quake Arena.
Sorry, not a really in-depth post but what do you guys think?

I would love to have a main target cross hair with all the gun arm/torso crosshairs and hud swinging to it.
Also I think no gun should fire until it reaches the main target cross hair, saving wasted shots. Option maybe

The problem with the crosshair right now is that it is client-side, while your shot is server-side thus the server thinks you arm is still in transit to where you are aiming due to delayed controls.
