Anyone kind of worried they filled out the questionnaire too honestly?

I mean, I didn't put all the clearly preferable options. (IE I never played MW1, or MC1, Battletech knowledge only "Knowledgeable" etc)

I am starting to fear that many will just fill out the form with the best possible responses and I will be left in the dust.

I think you're paranoid . I'm worried that the system profile program didn't see my windows experience rating lol. I think we're all eager to play this game so no worries. I always say honesty is the best way to go. I mean, the Dev's have to expect that some will just tell them what they want to hear during the signups as it happens all the time. I think you'll be fine.

Well for what It's worth I filled it out honestly. They are probably more concerned with previous beta expirience and willingness to fill out bug reports.

Paranoid. Any test that's worthwhile is comprised of both fanboys and those new to the genre or even the IP. Remember, this game has to convert those who are unfamiliar with Battletech in order to be successful. I imagine those who are die hards and follow the forums are firmly in the fanboy category, while anyone who has limited experience might slip in for diversity reasons. The same goes for hardware.

I'd say you're paranoid - if they are like every other game I've tested, they're going to want *both* the people that know everything and the ones that don't, the people that can compare this game to the previous ones, and those that can't. Etc.

A beta is useless if all of the testers fit the same demographic.

Now...that said...I'm one that's played every version of the game since tabletop, all the comp games, and I've been in scads of betas....so... my questionnaire *looks* like I did exactly that, filled in all the "good" answers. I didn't, I answered honestly (really, I did *not* play MechAssault 2...I'm ashamed to say I beta tested the 1st one though...) but, you know...

Put the truth.. the whole truth and nothing but.. you need to keep in mind they are looking for the people that have no clue about the game series too. Elite fanboi's tend to be a smaller group then the masses in any game or genre. Just tell it how it is
