I would like suggest a new product be made available for purchase: Bare legs.

At this time, when I look down in the cockpit I see dirty green pants covering my legs. This is just not right.

An InnerSphere MechWarrior wears a neuro helmet, a cooling vest, boxers or briefs, and combat boots... Not pants. Cooling suits are lostech and used by the Clans at this point.

During closed beta I created a poll and the vast majority voted that we should not be wearing pants in our mechs. Sadly this thread is no longer available, otherwise I would link it.

So let me pay you real money to take off my pants and allow me to see my bare legs. The money is there just waiting for you.

Please give me more ways to share my wealth, starting with taking off my pants.

Thanks!

Yes, I actually bothered to look at this.

Most hilarious-yet-valid-point ever.

A couple days ago, I suggested that the pilot should be customizable, including gender and appearance.

These are the types of things that are perfect for micro-transactions.

Well, the cooling vest would probably make the chest look somewhat "unisex".
At least for the DCMS.

On the other hand, I have seen some fairly skimpy outfits for various mercenary characters in the Battletech franchise, most notoriously the legendary Natasha herself. But hey, if PGI can make money this way... :)

Well PGI, if you check my account you will see I have already spent a lot of real $$$ so you know I would not balk at paying you MC to remove my pants.

I hear the spring fashion for MechWarriors will be boxers or briefs. Perhaps we can make this a store item for the new year?

I was thinking, they could even have multiple bare legs skins to purchase... Like: Hairless Hank, Normal, and Italian.. And for the ladies: Megan Fox, Normal, and Red Army Olga. :P

I've been looking at hilarious/creepy video game bugs recently, and Asakara's comment made me wonder if a bug with the aforementioned multiple leg skins and meshes would be like...cockpit full of legs sprouting from everywhere on your avatar. The horror...

LOL!

Smiley boxer briefs. Or Astronaut Diapers - you know, for the long trip in the Atlas to the scene of the battle...

I like it. :)

This issue just moved to the top of my list for things this game needs. Forget the netcode - fight the pants.

Imagine the eject sequence!

Rescuer: "Sergeant! We've got another flapper!!"

Rescue Sergeant: "MechWarrior! What the hell happened?!"

Pilot: "Well sir, the force of the impact hit my mech so hard that I had to eject. The ejection mechanism shot me up with so much force, that my boxers were blown off in the rush of air."

Rescue Sergeant: "Well son, be thankful you aren't on Caustic..."

:)
