No Fullscreen Above 1024

I have always played this game at 1280 x 1024 but today when I logged in it said my graphics card wasn't supported. So I updated my drivers.
But now I can't get the game to display in full screen mode above 1024 x 768.
What I end up with if I try to run above 1024 x 768 is what looks like a widescreen setting dvd with a narrow band of video and equally large bands of black above and below it.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled and patched the game.
Any thoughts?

Your video cards NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 are way below the minimum requirements and they won't either run this game or they won't run the game well at all. And that's why the engine says they're not supported. Time to upgrade your video cards don't you think?

But i won't have the free cash until at least February i'm afraid. What cards do you suggest for my system?

Just how out of date are my cards and can I get anything better for around a hundred to hold me over until I can spend more?
And how is my comp? I upgraded the ram a few months ago. Can it run the game with upgraded cards?

It all depends on the amount of money you can get together. But I have and Like the Nvidia Geforce 660 Ti OC'd edition.

If you go up to the Radeon HD6870 area, however, you can get a card for around two hundred or less that should be double your current performance at least. The rest of your PC is absolutely beautiful, so it would be a very worth while upgrade. Do more research though, I spend less than five minutes looking at prices and figures.

2. Available resolutions are dependent on the LCD monitor. Systems can get weird when you are running at anything than native resolution.
3. Also check your video card's settings. There will be settings on how a screen is displayed based on the attempted resolution when compared to the current or available resolution. There should be an option to fill/stretch the resolution to fill the entire screen.
example, with your computer settings as they they are now, any 4x3 resolution will have bars at top/bottom (provided you are using a wide screen LCD).
You can test this by going windowed mode and selecting different resolutions.

Nuh-uh, a gtx260 is perfectly fine to play this. Besides, the only downsides of an outdated gpu should be bad performance. Fullscreen should still work.
anyway, what driver are you running, try updating it.

I bet it runs slow and only one card is used(Because MWO isn't setup for SLI/Crossfire yet)... Also Your system is nice but your video cards are holding it back as you could be doing between 80-120fps smoothly with the GFX maxed out if you had newer video cards as I mentioned above.
