Just remember that it does not mean we have (rounded) 100 000 people going to play. Just almost 90 000 people signed up and posted something. <_<

Now, how many MWO registrations, as the members is apparently only those who have visited the forums, not just signed up.

Damn you ninja... damn you

Once there is some serious advertising and promotion, the playerbase is going to explode in size. We will be looking back and chuckling at only having 90k.

I will be very, very surprised the day a F2P game with giant robots and explosions does not get at least 100,000 members.

You're talking about 100 000 forum posters. People playing the game are far greater in number. At least that's what devs use to say. <_<

It's okay if we don't get 100,000 forum posters, you post enough for all of them :P

How big of a stadium would we need to house an MWO convention, assuming we all came?

I just hope MWO has enough server capacity for all of us. I've been through so many games where server loads make the game completely unenjoyable.

Yeah, we could've done better, but Paul spent almost all of the development money on Pixy Stix and snowmobile parts <_<

BT/MW has such a large fan base, I can almost bet that this game is going to explode out of the gates and the Devs are going to be hard pressed to keep up with the overflow of players. Im just glad we are finally getting this after what I thought would truly be lost forever.

Or we could be looking back and missing the day we only had 90000 users. Who knows what will happen to the forums after the game launches. I for one fear the day general discussion becomes littered with new player topics asking about everything. While I am eager to teach and bring in new players, redundant posts will multiply.

We could very well end up missing the days when it was a majority of grizzled veterans users bringing along small numbers of new players at a time

I'm sure if MWO takes off well enough, they will replenish. And then we can make plans for air fare.

Yes, but I kind of get the feeling that a gigantic MW convention would shortly erupt into a massive series of brawls that would later be dubbed the 5th SW...

In the big scheme of things, this has happened to many communities over the years. Its a given. In the end though, we are the community - and what we make of it is what we make of it.
