Unless there were massive undocumented changes (which wouldn't be too unusual, since we get undocumented changes EVERY PATCH for some reason), the patch notes feel pretty lacking for a patch that got delayed a week.

I mean, mechlab crashing? Not even mentioned. I can only hope it's an undocumented fix.

Anyone else feel the same way?

MAN i was REALLY hoping for the CAMO SPEC / paint my mech feature to roll in. i thought it was do the 20th... but well... it's not here... so i guess its back to the drab green of drabbness...

Not just 8v8. No custom skins, no new Gamemode, no ECM, no real fixes in general.

Thats the second week we didnt get a patch. (No i dont see a new mech as a motivational factor if seen in correlation with promised fixes.)

Also, to be fair, the patch notes have a few good things in them. People were, just once again, hoping for the "wrong" stuff - Matchmaking Phase 2 for example. Or Camo Spec?
And while I appreciate Streaks not missing anymore, I am not convinced they needed a damage buff.

And I eagerly await readers of the itemstats.xml reporting on whether the heat sinks have been tweaked again and whether I need to rip out my LLs or not.

Oh, and Cataphract is in, That's neat. I was looking forward to it. Not as much as on them fixing the net code or the weapon balance, but hey, it's a new heavy mech.

Also just so we mention it.

All dates given are estimates and not set in stone.

not that anyone cares but that is the way it is, don't like it... Come back in six months to a year.

big time.

What kills me is that in the command chair, they are STILL talking about 3rd person view. They can't give us back 8 man teams or fix LRM damage as noted but they still are looking into 3rd person view? really? wow.

The best thing I saw (other than a new mech) was that they finally acknowledge that cheaters exist in this game.

So happy I did not invest in this game. I was so close to buying a founders package just by hearing the name MechWarrior. But just as all game developers of this generation. They keep on disappointing and only worry about marketing. Guess what loyal players run away after they taste crap.

It is about what i was expecting. PGI just does not seem to have the staff to keep up with demand, and i suspect IGP is pushing them to get more money makers in the game (mechs and gxp items)

Agreed. Maybe I've been spoiled by other studios and their patches, but it seems like beta patches should have a lot more meat.

My main disappointment is with BAP. I was hoping it would allow targeting multiple opponents, and be restricted to certain variants.

25% greater range and targeting speed is pretty weak. (Granted, I forget how much it weighs, if it just weighs 1 ton, that's fair.)

>save
>mechlab crashes

Oh wow it really isn't fixed. That's just amazing.

I understand that. Delays DO happen. But I'm looking at what we're getting and I can't help but think, "WTF are those guys doing over there?"

HHonestly, there has been VERY LITTLE content introduced over the last few patches, and not a lot in the way of bug fixes either.

I mean, how hard is doing a camo skinner? And we haven;t had an honest to goodness new map in LONG time. Yeah, Snow Colony is nice and all, but it's a fairly minor variation on an already existing map.

I'm hoping that they have a LOT of stuff this >< close to being ready for release, but my faith is a bit shaken.

Everything on the patch notes was very welcome. The only thing that makes me disappointed is there is no change to the team and matchmaking system.

I am floored that the matchmaking didn't make it in this patch. That deflated my excitement considerably. Guess I'll wait 2 weeks to play. Hopefully I won't be all in to Planetside 2 at that point...

Well, as for me, I'm done with this. Time for some WarZ I guess. Earned allot of Cbills, made quite a few elite builds, but this game is going nowhere I fear. Just another poorly done FPS with a different set of textures.

Software is hard. Really ******* hard. Making changes to a production environment every 2 weeks without negatively impacting users is a fools errand, and yet PGI is working hard to do exactly that.

The only thing all of these complaining threads can accomplish is to discourage PGI from being open and honest with the user base. That's the only thing to be disappointed in, not that they missed a date by two weeks.

So no, I'm not disappointed that a date slipped. I'm thrilled that PGI is trying and being honest with us instead of hiding everything so that we won't be let down when software happens.

If they only did one patch and that patch was back to 8 man groups I would have been happy...

So far they seem the same: cooling="0.14" heatbase="-1.4"
Unfortunately, I was stupid enough not to save previous version, so I cannot run difference check
