1. This is BETA, you act like this is release. Beta content is always changing, and there are lots of bugs that need fixed in beta because it's not finished yet!
2. I'm running this game on HIGH with a nVidia 9800 GTX and I have no issues whatsoever with performance.
3. No game goes somewhere FAST, they take time to develop. There are no fast food restaurants in PC gaming.
4. Bugs take time to fix, and they have to be careful they don't break something else in the process. They also have to isolate the line or lines of code causing the bug and that takes TIME. Be patient. They'll fix it when they figure out the problem and code a solution that doesn't create more bugs or break the game.
5. It is playable now, I'm having a blast. If you want to quit until release, go ahead. But I am BETA TESTING this game and helping the devs develop the game. The reason why a lot of you open beta players were allowed into the beta was because PGI needed your data. And no, I did not buy my closed beta key, I got in before I ever spent a dollar on this game and once in, I was impressed with the quality and gameplay so decided to become a Founder.
Patience young beta tester. All good things come to those who wait.
You call for patience, I call for better communication. I understand patches or features within patches being delayed, but what I don't understand is waiting until the day of the patch, then waiting until after the patch hits, with features missing, to announce delays of said features.
Example: Phase 2 of matchmaking. PGI had on their timeline that Phase 2 was 11/20. Then the patch came and there was no mention of it in the patch notes. Only after the patch was active was the timeline updated a later date. They made no announcement of the delay, they simply updated an old post changing the 11/20 to 12/04. And now it is listed as "80%" probability (?) of being on 12/04. Why not make an announcement prior to the 11/20 patch updating everyone instead of leading us to believe up until the time the patch went active that we would actually see Phase 2 implemented on 11/20? Obviously if they are only "80%" certain, at this point, that Phase 2 will make it for 12/04 they were 10000% positive it wouldnt make 11/20 long before 11/20.
I think better communication would go a long long way. How about a little heads up on MAJOR delays such as the Phase 2 debacle? Wouldn't it have been better to make an announcement on say, 11/15, that Phase 2 was going to be delayed? Instead of leading us all to believe it was on track up until the point we get in game post patch and realize it is missing?
Can you imagine in any part of your life that it would be ok to give a completion date for something that is WEEKS away, and then at 5pm on the alleged completion date you say, oh man we didn't quite make it, we need another 2 weeks and we can only say with 80% certainty that 2 weeks will be enough we may not make that either... like you didnt know you wouldnt make it a week before the original completion date?
