Probably yeah, I noticed heat efficiency drop as well.

Someone said the XML does not reflect this, but we've seen other things happen before where the XML didn't reflect it either, as the actual game values do not rely upon those XMLs, only the mechlab calculations do.

I didn't notice any change. It's in your head.

Some maps had their ambient heat tweaked. But no, it's probably in your head.

I've noticed it. Then again, I also just noticed that a Gauss Rifle generate roughly 5% heat on a Dragon with a heat efficiency of 1.28. On a sniper build with an ER Large Laser, that's a little bit suckish.

I know there has been a lot of discussion that engine double heat sinks were actually doing 2.0 and it was going to be changed, or was that last patch?

The last patch changed double heat sinks from 2.0 to 1.4. But there were rumors the the engine heat sinks were still 2.0 on DHS equipped mechs. This might have been fixed in the patch.

Can someone who maths hard math some math?

Engine sinks WERE at 2.0, I'd love to know if they're down to 1.4 too.

Nope. My AWS 9M still works as before, no difference.

DHS are still working as before.

2.0 in engines, 1.4 outside.

This is the funny hypochondriac **** you see because of the murkiness of the process due to so many changes not being published in patch notes.

Exactly, I was trying to figure out if it was in my head as well. On that note, did anyone else take advantage of the secret UAC5 buff? The recycle time (if you use the doubleshot) got much faster. I built a Cicada with 3 UACs that can do roughly 30 damage every second. Sure I'm pretty slow and whatnot, but I also can kill anything not moving too fast within 3 seconds. I wonder when the regular AC5 will get it's buff, right now it's 1/4 of the gun the UAC is.

If you want to compare them, just open both ItemStats.xml files in Notepad++. The full version has a Compare plugin that will show you the only things that have changed (besides the new 'mech and modules) are minor sound stuff. Also, formatting in a few locations.

Heat Sinks are unchanged.

However, in the patch notes, they did say they fixed cooldown bar reporting issues. Perhaps they didn't change the actual heat reduction, just fixed a reporting bug? I haven't noticed any changes in my 'mech's effective volley timings, though I've only been running my lights and mediums today.

There are a lot of values that only exist server side, even though they have values listed in client side xml files. PGI chooses not to disclose virtually any information to us about anything ever so just keep your eyes peeled and if you can confirm something was changed please report it to the unreported patch changes thread.

Having spent all my c-bills on shiney new Cataphract mechs I had the misfortune of playing a few games with single heatsinks.

16 single heatsinks sucked hard and I'd overheat myself continiously with 4 medium lasers, upgrade that to 16 doubles and the lasers are now pretty much heat neutral which is what my Atlas has been at for the last month.

I am seeing no change to double heatsinks.

If it has changed, it's pretty unnoticeable to really matter.

I haven't noticed, and I'm a man that loves his pulse lasers.

This is not true.

I have double heat sinks on a cicada that I just played on frozen city. Last night before the patch, playing with my loadout on that map would dissipate all heat by the time my weapons were ready to fire again.

Just now, I overheated 2x. They definitely changed something...and yet, the mech's heat efficiency rating is the same in mechlab (1.49).
