Am I doing something wrong or is it not possible to upgrade the standard engine to an XL engine in the Cataphract 2x?

Apparently it has 8 slots available but the XLs require 12?

Yet other Cataphract builds have XLs? Why not the 2x?

Max engine rating for Tier 1 Heavy Mechs is Stock Engine Rating x 1.2 Rounded Up to the nearest 5.

Stock 280 in the CTF-2X means the maximum usable engine is a 340.

The 6 extra slots are put into the side torsos. You may want to make some room there.

That was the problem thanks! I forgot they took up space in the right and left torsos.

You need 6 free slots in the engine and 3 in each side torso.
