Basically, it took place in an alternate fantasy-sci fi hybrid universe where the borders between planes of existance aren't as defined as they are in ours and powerful beings of light and dark (angels, demons, gods and demigods, etc.) could exist and live on our physical plane of existence, achieving a sort of universal balance between light and dark (though humans, dark beings, and light ones would frequently persecute, hunt, and war with each other and, in the case of humans and demons, among themselves).
We humans, though lacking in magical powers, have super-advanced technology - nano-robots, flying machines, precision long-range projectile and energy weapons, and so on - that helps even the odds against our supernatural neighbors, but its not quite enough. To give us weakling humans a fighting chance in case these magical beings were to turn on us en masse, we created the Soul Frames, powerful 60-foot tall humanoid mecha that convert their pilot's emotions and willpower into energy for movement and weapons. Eventually demons and angels acquire Soul Frames and learn to construct their own versions.
Eventually the balance of power shifts when Tspira, demon godess of the lower planes, murders the Angel King and sends the planes into chaos for several hundred years. During this time period she begins to slay the human populations for their souls, which she absorbs to increase her power and strength. She also had a personal custom-built red and black Soul Frame designed to allow her to use her power to its full potential in combat.
When her army attacks the city of the main character, 24-year-old Eliza, he is the only survivor; he barely escapes with his life after watching his mother, father, little sister, and girlfriend be murdered by Tspira's soldiers. He swears revenge and eventually chances upon a badly beaten but still functional Soul Frame once belonging to an Archangel, which he repairs and sets out to find Tspira and settle the score, not realizing the major **** he's about to get himself - and the entire human race - into.
Blood, gore, love, and a dark, violent storyline would have then followed... If it had actually been made into something, which you never know, maybe it will someday if I can get it published somehow.

I also blame you for long posts.

As for the anime, well, honestly even if I planned to become a producer I don't think I could pull it off as I doubt my writing abilities. I may turn it into a novel or short story series someday as I've always been told I'm great at writing short stories and fanfics.
