why thank you sir. Im trying to help keep the excitement up without making outlandish claims and or jump to too many conclusions while still having fun with what we have gotten so far lol

The one thing I cant wait for is my first ever enemy kill. Im sorry to whoever that may be in the future but if that future enemy pilot is reading this. YOUR MECHS HEAD IS GOING ON MY HANGER BAY WALL ;)

I agree there is plenty here to keep me interested for the time being and i like everything that has been shown so far. I was just reading a thread that someone made about losing interest already since the process of development is slow to that person obviously he need patience.

Yeah, but the Macross/Harmony Gold licensed designs were the only Reseen that had an issue back in 2009 (actually, they were the only ones that were an issue back in 1996, but FASA pulled everything that wasn't designed in-house as a CYA.) Which to my mind, begs the question, whether that statement applies to all the Unseen or not.

In the end (again sorry for using WoT as an example) as time goes on, In real time, the Devs can release new chassis and technologies. So what is not available now may be in the future.

Variety is the spice of life, if people like a certain mech they are going to pilot it and they may be able to do great things with it. All the while looking good and having flash backs to being a kid pretending to dominate the battlefield with their plastic rifleman ;)

When I started playing WoT in June 2011, there was only one line of German, Russian and American heavies. Now there is a French tree, two lines of German heavies, two lines of American TDs and a second line of Russian heavies coming soon for a total of around an additional 30+ tanks.

Although some of them are horrible tanks to some people, others find that they fit their playstyle nicely. if a Mech is not your cup of tea, don't drink it. From what I have read, there will be no tech tree to unlock to reach a particular Mech so there will be no B1 grind or AMX 40 sadness to contend with, just the earning of C-bills to make the purchase.

After a few years I see no reason why most of the IS Mechs and perhaps some of the initial wave Clan Mechs can't already be in game.

My 2 C-bills
Im hoping that after the Clan Invasion is over (whenever that may be)... that we will ALL (IS and CLAN alike) be able to fight in the Jihad (Word of Blake) war together.

At this point, I dont think it really matters as all the Unseens are now able to be used. Yes modified a bit so as to not be 100% replicas but none the less, they can be used.

while I like most can not wait! The wait is killing me, but... the way I look at it is with a game like this and there being SOOOOO many die hard fans out there that are waiting too and or will once again be brought back into the fold, YOU CAN NOT RUSH THIS GAME! If people truly want a great game for many years to come, let the Devs take their time and give us a well thought out polished game. Its far and few between that any game is ever great anymore because game developers rush the game out the door before its ever tuly had a chance. The longer it takes for a game such as this... I see that as a good thing, that its getting the attention and detail that it deserves. and we ALL know this game and its fans are deserving of GREATNESS!

The Daboku and Spector look like some cool earlier designs. The Spector would be a great scout mech, and compensate for it's lack of fighting capability with all of that speed on it.

yeah... if this mech makes it into the game, I can see many scout pilots taking this mech as the lance point mech. I really want to see how a larger mech will handle the PACK mentality of 4 nicely loaded out scouts ripping and running all over the place lol

Yeah i can't wait either but i want them to make the game complete and not rush it. I just got over Mass Effect 3's ending so i don't really want another dissapointment so i am looking forward to this game not just because of that though.

Yeah i played the whole Mass Effect series then when i get the end of ME3 i was like wth this sucks because all the endings turn out basically the same. Plus those endings sucked so bad that they basically ruin any replay value to the series since you know what happens at the end of ME3. Overall though i loved the ME series until the end of ME3 just like i love Battletech or Star Wars.

It's just almost more than I'd dare hope for - I actually really like most of the Reseen designs, and several (notably the Ost-mechs) are an improvement over the originals (I know it's sacrilege to some folks, but I like the reseen Marauder much more than the original, which I always disliked as to spindly-looking!). About the only two I actually like less than the originals are the Warhammer and the Archer, which I preferred to look stockier. If they are now "fair game", well... I'd love to get behind the controls of a Reseen Thunderbolt, Phoenix Hawk, Wolverine, Shadow Hawk, Crusader, Rifleman, Battlemaster, Griffin, Warhammer, Archer or Marauder! ;)

I'd actually be down with the Crab, the King Crab, not so much, depends on the hard points. It's a good design, squat and low to the ground but if it's forced to use ballistics... not my cup of tea... unless I can replace those AC/20's with Gauss rifles.

Gauss punch through light mech just as easily. Look at the armor values on 20-30 tonners, 15 points in one spot /is/ going to hit internal structure... at FAR better ranges.

A light mech can run /circles/ around a King Crab, honestly, a King Crab shouldn't even be hunting lights, they'll lose. A King Crab should be hunting heavies or holding the pass.

I love AC/20s, but a King Krab with Gauss rifles makes my mouth water.

On the TT game I re-designed the Crab and named it "Sail Crab." I think I remember dying horribly having my legs shot out from under me.
I liked the King Crab, but re- fit with gauss rifles. I think it got head shot.
By far the most head shot mech we ever played was the Behemoth. (Stone Rhino) I saw it drop over and over again. It was kind of strange. Like some weird flaw with its aircraft like cockpit on its nose. It seemed to draw fire. Eventually, no one would use it.
My favorite assault by far was the Marauder II. I don't think I ever had it shot out from under me. I don't really care much for the new sculpts. Probably just nostalgia.
A Warhammer would be cool, but the one in the MW5 video looked more like a Thor to me.

Everything I can find on the reseen are all the mechs that are not based off of Robotech ones. If thats true that means even the reseen Marauder and Warhammer are unseen.

My thoughts are that they should add as many "Reseen Mechs" as legally possible because of the "nostaglia" factor I have with this whole franchise. Personally a MechWarrior game without any version of the WarHammer would make me sad because I loved using the WarHammer since the first MechWarrior game. Sure it wasn't as powerful as the BattleMaster, but I loved headhunting in the first game using my dual PPCs as G. Braver! That's my own thoughts but I'm sure people here are going to argue with me.
