First I'm a PUG. I have a job and thus little free time to go looking for groups to play in. I typically get 2 kills per match and do 450 Pts damage.

I am tired of being insulted by the Premade idiots. I would like to see all Premade teams denoted with a visible tag so I and my other PUG friends can kick the snot out of them.

Don't say "kick the snot out of them", just "Do It." That silences the insults very quickly. :(

I have seen it happen. In game, hit Launch. everyone loads, insults start. Game result. Death to the Insulters Team.

Same night. Another game. The same name(s) come up. Not surprisingly, more insults. Death to the Insulters.

Wow, a third game. Same name(s). This time the insults seem to be missing. Better game actually. Hmm, wonder why that was. :)

Why do so many, just assume that no one remembers their childish bs. LOL! ;)

I run premades alot and I have never once insulted pugs. I have thrown insults on occasion which I admit is still immature, but that was generally in retaliation to someone insulting a lancemate or whatnot. Generally I let the pugs know that I'm a premade, and give them a quick scope of what my lance plans on doing. By saying premade idiots you're doing the exact same thing that all the premades who insult pugs do.

Have a player group indicator would be helpful... if only for clerical work...

even though that post took you more time than finding a group, and dl'ing ts. so you chose to not have a team, in a team based game. so you think the teams, in a team based game, are "idiots".

takes a special kind

I don't know you, I don't want to know you, I have no pity for you and could care less if you are gods gift to mech gaming. I don't want to be forced to play with you because YOU don't want to play with others. Due to the small group of players unable to join a group, they made me play with you. Now you're having fun because you don't have half a team of stupid and I"m not having fun because I do.

It's a team based game, if you want to play alone then rock on with your bad self. I don't want to, I joined a group so I wouldn't have to. Now I'm not allowed to have friends and play with them because what I want ruins you being a special flower and makes all the dumb stuff that people do non viable.

So you go pug, let me drop with 8 people again and all will be fine. I could care less if you win, lose, afk, overheat, shoot your team or take a nap

you might probably not believe it, but the entire most of the players do have jobs. they also have families, friends, hobbies, and whatsoever else to spend their time on. yet someone does understand what a team play means. what a team game means. and that someone goes teamspeak and finds any group willing to accept one more player. this is the easiest (and probably the only available) way neither to be a pug nor to join a regular group.
try it.

It takes 5 minutes to setup a premade group. There are loads of teamspeak and mumble servers to join and have some fun.
I would recommend this shameless plug for a great mumble server - http://www.reddit.com/r/mwo/ all the infomration is there. On busy nights we have 70+ people in the server, some playing in a lance, some just running premade pug smashers.

There is no waiting, no "getting to know you", you play, right away.

I would love a tag or even a custom skin that the group can decide on, that would be cool.

Team = 7 ppl with you who have blue markers above them (or the other team, who have red markers)
Group = 2-4 ppl who play together in order to gain an advantage.
MWO is a team game, that allows players to group.

Just thought I would clear that up.

@Mazgazine1
"some just running premade pug smashers."
And that's the advantage. Sooner the group ppl play exclusively against other groups the better imho.

Finding a group is not as easy for everyone. Many people who play the game, including those who supported the game early with founders packages, may only have time for a drop or two between shifts, collecting kids etc. In the time to get on ts and wait for a group some people have had their few drops and are already back to real life commitments. They are not lazy, special or stupid they are just busy with the more important things in life.

I have sat on ts in 'looking for a group' rooms with no luck sometimes. It is a great service provided for us by NGNG but what we really need is voip implemented fully into the game so everyone on a team is auto connected to the same voip room, or at least those of us who checked the voip c3 box in options.

that is unfortunate. i never wait for more than 20 seconds. it takes no time at all. there are several ts servers now, try them all. the ngng one, there are pgi ones, there are teams that have their own. there is no need to wait at all. if the 20-45 seconds it takes to get into a group is to much, just hop in ts, and pick an empty channel, and drop. then people join you. no waisted time at all.

so dont give cop outs. if you want a team, you can have one. its easy and free, and very fast.

now if you just dont want a group, thats fine. but dont complain about it.

There are no cop outs, some people just cannot do it every time they drop, also I did no complaining I was merely stating that not all pugs are pugs by choice, sometimes when people drop the would like to be on comms but for various reasons it is not always possible for many different reasons. For example I myself usually have no problem getting on comms however I do not when in a room with people studying/working out of consideration. As much as I do not like playing that way or being on a 'team' with seven suicide rushing pugs the abuse and insults thrown at them while deserved on some occasions should not be assigned to all of them.

that is a good reason and not a cop out. yes. consideration of others counts.

the cop out was no time, that is exactly what that is, cop out. it takes no time, you can even launch, then load ts while the count down is going, then hop in a channel and let people join you. it doesnt need to take time.

Wonder why having voice chat built in is so complicated on most of these games. Way back when I used to play Day of defeat while it was still beta and cs the build in voice chat worked great and thats when broad band was hard to come by.

If you ask me it shouldn't be that hard to run some script to auto move your players into a channel via ingame instead of using c3.

So, are you offering to develop such an in-game voice chat system (or at least come up with a design that works) or just thinking that it's easy "because Voices told you so"? :)

I do PUG all the time but that doesnt mean that i'm not a team player!

The best thing you premades can do is telling what you are thinking of doing and how if possible we can do
to help with that.

Last night i was grouped with a premade that had dedicated commander who told what was going to happen
and how we could support this if we wanted. We wiped the floor with the opposition and had a blast.

So plz tell us puggers what's going down and i'm sure most of us will support you in any way we can. I know i will.

The only time playing against teams bothers me is when they hammer my fail pug half the match, and spend the other half patting themselves on the back. . . or the infamous line 2 seconds before disconnect "The 1st lance of epic blah blah blah thanks you for dying so easily"

And I'll tell you why:

I would *LOVE* to be able to go back later and CHALLENGE the 1st lance of epic blah blah blah when my lance gets on, because I believe we would wipe the floor with them.

Yep, that's it. . . I HATE not being able to demand a rematch

And for the record, everyone remember: 4 or 8 people calling targets and focusing fire is *NOT SKILL*

Yes, it is a very efficient tactic, it leads to many wins. it is perfectly acceptable and EVERY GROUP SHOULD DO IT.

But it is not skill, and it does not mean that the premade has any REAL "skill" whatsoever. If you can manage to get them to lose situation awareness and follow you, separate them from the group and cut them off. . . I've seen pre mades fall like dominoes. It's not ALWAYS doable, but when it is, it's a great feeling to be a part of it

[Yes, there are plenty of premades out there with very intelligent skilled players with excellent communication skills. If you find yourself offended by my words. . you're probably one of the bads, yes :D]
