The spontaneous combustion is due more to working full time and being a full time college student... I usually only play like 4 hours a day.

Cheers then! See you on the field

This is why people should be rewarded for team-killing any player that enters a match with less than 90% armor.

Or run mechs that don't cost as much to repair as you make on average.

The 102K avg per match I make in the stats is the amount before repairs. Even with the cheapest base Jenner the repairs are about 20K if you go down. That means to play a laser only unupgraded jenner I could potentially make maybe 85K per match on average (assuming I live through some of them).

It's certainly doable but I imagine a premium founder will be making over 200K avg to run their founder jenner to farm cbills. Not saying this isn't fair just pointing out that to get cbills in a reasonable amount of time requires running a crappy light without premium and/or founder. Gameplay becomes rather stale when you are forced into one path.

This means either you play the fun way and take a REALLY long time to add more variety (purchase new weapons and new mechs), or you need to grind out with a cheap light, or you need to purchase premium and maybe a hero mech.

Playing mech dressup is a large portion of the content right now so I imagine there are a lot of players that would be bored and leave if it happens to slow. Or like the OP they start cutting corners by suicide farming, not repairing, etc....

I think they need to adjust the rewards so competent medium/heavy/assault pilots can make as much profit despite their larger repair bills if they contribute more to the match (damage done and other bonuses).

Just my opinion though.

but maybe I should just power down in a corner and wait to see how the battle goes before engaging to see if it's worth it to scratch my paint up.

Well go ahead, it does open you up to being reported though as you are skirting the thin grey area in the EULA and ToS for this game as shutting down and not participating in the match is basically AFK farming / Greifing. So while you do not gamble with your CBills you gamble with your account... A fair trade to me.

No, suicide farming would be me REMOVING my center torso armor and then running into matches straight on towards the enemy team, this is gathering c-bills because no matter how well I do in a match I won't get more c-bills than I do for just showing up and winning or losing.

Don't misinterpret my actions because you don't like them.

A founder would say that.

Oh look, and all but 1 player that liked your post is also a founder. Gotta love that view.

I liked his post, and I'm not a founder. I noticed no one liked yours, not even founders. There's a lot of QQ in this thread. Pay your damn bills, son. ;)

Repair your mech. Do not abuse the system.
This is suicide farming.

They need to make the 75% R&R come only once you have paid for the R&R.
You are breaking the economy and are screwing your team.

Stop Hazing and Start Raising...

what economy?

"I didn't support the game I am playing so now I am going to us an exploit to get imaginary credits faster and then insult those who did support the game." We get it... you are cheap, both in real life and in game. I wouldn't count on that 75% repair/rearm being around forever if this is how people are going to use it. Thanks for screwing it up for those who might actually NEED it in the future.

Yup simple to fix this, no free repairs and you can't launch damaged, why this is even in the game at all I can't figure.

One thing to concerning for CW part is if there are supply lines and if they can be cut, the OP dropping with minimum repair/load is one of the things to expect.

Just saying...

are you serious? You really think there will be more to CW then organized battles like we currently have that alter some IS map. Supply lines, seriously? Some people are going to be real disappointed if they think that CW is going to be some complex meta game. ave you seen Clan Wars in WoT? If not check it out, much like everything else in this game they are merely cribbing from WoT with mechs.

He was quoting me. I sometimes open threads while at work and reply to them when I have a second. Works comes first though... because... I gotta pay the bills (see how I tied that in there? Damn I'm good)

I have a founder mech and premium, and I don't repair either.

I'm rarely the last person alive (which would indicate I did better than most, but also make the lowered armor a real issue) but I usually make one or more kills per match. Often this is a huge portion of the kills my team makes before losing.

75% armor is not game breaking. Neither is only 75% ammo, and 25% components. I personally think repairs and reload should be 100% your responsibility, and MANDATORY. But, until they are I'm going to make all the money I can.

Hate the game and the crutch PGI worked in. I've had better matches while unrepaired than fully stocked and playing with a team.

Then nothing we do matters, because this game will not survive without a complex meta game driving the repetitive gameplay.

I'm not sure making the PUG even worse is a solution to losing in a PUG in the first place.
