I'm in the same boat. I was having horrible lag issues (FPS was routinely dropping down to 5 fps) and tried everything MWO support threw at me and nothing has worked. As a last resort, I uninstalled the game and reinstalled. When I attempted to download the patch again, it errors out. I've tried stopping all other programs running on my computer and disabled my virus protection... nothing works. I've literally tried to download the patch 20-30 times to no avail. I get to the very end of the patch download and get the 'file corrupted' error message. I've tested my connection, reset my cable modem and router over and over... this is really frustrating. I have a screaming fast processor and top of the line video board, so I really shouldn't be having all these problems. I'm hoping a new patch comes soon to address the lagging issues AND the patch download issues.

I'm not sure what kind of servers they are running their code on or if they're running in a cloud, but something just doesn't seem right. Maybe it's their software code, but could also be the hardware.
