I know the net lag must be a major pain to fix or it would have been done so can you at least bring back the knockdowns so we can at least kill the teleporting light mechs
When in a match you see 5 mechs all shooting with a mixed assortment of weapons and tonnages just to watch 1 light pilot kill everyone in the massed group with NO assistance from his team
And before the flames start, the ONLY reason he/she survived was lag shield
p.s. he/she was on my team so its not a cry over dying to a light mech

Will people never cease to create at least one thread per day on this topic? There are so many reasons knockdown fests are bad design. I've written them out myself at least a half dozen times. The developers know everyone's opinions on this matter, assuming they care. They've already said they are bringing them back. We don't know when. We don't know in what form. Just be patient, and you'll probably get what you are looking for.
I have never seen one of these phantom lights that obliterates a team all on their lonesome. I've killed so many lights I've lost count, in just the time the 'phract has been available. I see a Jenner, I think, he's either about to die, or run away as fast as he can, and I'm usually right. This is despite the fact that I am not a great player.

Pro tip: Shoot in front of the light. Then the net lag wont matter.
edit: I do think knockdowns need to come back ASAP... but they are working on it and have stated such many times.

Or wait until they line up in your sights and alpha them.

Yes i know there is at least 1 thread about this BUT it needs to stay fresh in the devs mind so it gets fixed
AND yes I know how to kill lights, BUT others apparently dont

I say bring em back, buggy anims and all. They were annoying yes, but really is the annoyance caused by them more than the annoyance of the requirement to aim ahead of something with a LASER due to lack of interpolation of their position?

Ok...you will not like this, I get flames in TS when I tell it my friends...but:
I do not think that it will ever come back.
Ok, I said it. What makes me think that?
the sad fact that this matter is of such importance, that to my understanding it has to be the first thing to settle on ANY list the devs can ever make. Yet, what happens? Nothing!
The simple fact alone that they went from closed beta to open beta..with this MISSING...is like "wtf????".
And now, all those new players simply started to play without it, their first experience in light mechs, is like it is...easy and simple.
Easy and simple is the modern way of making/playing games. 3rd person view? of course, for the new players...to make it simple. Simple simple simple...
...and collisions have no place in "simple".
I'd be happy to get them back (yet the word "back" is wrong from the open beta point of view) and yes...it has been a part of Battletech games...just imagine the fun of going into the tunel on the icemap with 8 people...
but, dont worry people...we get como's and tons of nice new mechs to spend cash on....who would dare and ask the devs for a realistic date to bring collisions (and fps) back (to a playable level).

I have to say that the gameplay feels more "solid" without the old knockdown system. I'm all for an updated version, but only when it's fully done!

Sorry man, but we must face it, I love Battletech since the tabletop, and I'm leaving MWO.
I simply can't figure out why someone not familiar with Battletech universe will play MWO for more than a few hours.
It's sad, but it's true.
