It's not bad by itself but game full of as-holes that give away your location to enemy team to fasten your death and endgame.

It's also nice to be able to say, "gg, well played". I think there's at least as much support for extending text chat through to the scoreboard, as for stopping it once you're dead.
If dead people start informing on their hiding team mates, we typically pay that information no heed and head to cap. That gives us longer to re-educate the miscreant. Well, that and insult them.

We'll also remember their names, and prioritize them next time we see them.

Doesnt matter if the enemy team is using a voip like vent or ts3 or the broken in game one they can easly give away positions without you even knowing. Its called ghosting and its a competitive tactic.

Even If you take It out, it will only make PUG teams have even less information to work with.
You can still scout while hopping cameras.

yeah well, i don'T see a big deal in dead people chatting with all, sometimes it'S great fun to see people argue about who was better while both are dead, and sometimes its even fun to participate in those discussions.
People giving away teammember positions should be tempbanned, if you ask me.
I hide from time to time, but only in situations where it would just be throwing away the mech and the c-bills to repair it. For example if it is 0-7 against my team, why should i charge in? expect when pretty much all enemys are ****** up and i am in relativley good shape.
I recently did shut down in front of the enemy, when i was the last one allive, with a dark red CT, one arm missing the other one yellow. Enemy were a hunchback and an Atlas who were capping our base. Both at about 95% health... why should i even bother to further fight? I am a merc, not some honor commited King Arthur Knight on a shiny Mechhorse aka Saber Rider.
I got insulted by one of my teammembers, as the enemys stopped shooting and capped the base instead. Endscreen said, he did 53 damage and 2 assists - wow, what a hero, died honorably i guess.
SO.. in such situations, why would it be wrong for the last one to hide and shutdown to safe some repairs? If i am playing with a group, we usually ignore those hinds aswell and just go cap
