Looking to upgrade the new laptop at work for better Fps in MWO, it only has the intel onboard graphics. Can I just open it up and slap a dedicated Gpu in it? Never messed w/ a laptop before...
If so can u recomend a card in the $100 range for it?

It's a Lenovo IdeaPad P580
Intel I5-3210m 2.5 G
6G Ram
750G HD

Any input is welcome..

Unfortunately for the vast majority of laptops on the market, you cannot upgrade the GPU on a laptop, save in a few high-end gaming laptop models, and even in those cases it's often cheaper just to upgrade the laptop than to upgrade the GPU.

Aaccording to available manuals - no, you cant. There is no place inside and no port connections for discrete video card. this might be not true but if it is indeed your first time i would not recommend trying to find out by opening it up.
