Got CASE on that ammo in your arms? If you went without CASE on that ammo, and it blew up, then I do believe that would destroy your entire 'Mech.

Hitting a destroyed location (e.g. your destroyed RT) transfers the damage inwards (in the case of your RT, the damage is applied to the CT).

Well, the others answered this for you already. No CASE during ammo explosions typically means your screwed.

Actually, legs transfer to the side torsos as well, but otherwise quite correct!

As I stated a standard engine.
Really tweaked me when my arm had full armor last time it happened.

This is incorrect, other than torsos (I think) but definitely definitely to my slight frustration including legs, actual weapon strikes do not transfer damage.
Many a time have I lined up a tasty alpha on what I think is the last leg of a slow/stationary/shut down mech and alas all damage is for naught.

What Weapon are you using in those side torsos? Might you be a Guasscat? In which case it's the WEAPON exploding. Guass Ammo does not explode, but the weapon does.

So what do you have in the side Torso, Anything? Your fully repairing between matches? What kind of shape is your CT in when your side torso goes?
AMS in one side BAP in the other, that's it. Yeah fully repairing and rearming every match.

That is all I can figure, since I can't put case there I just relocated the ammo to RT/LT and put a case on it.

Legs and side torsos have a special rule because they can't be blown off. If you shoot a leg that is already "destroyed" it will transfer 50% of the damage to the side torso on that side (armor before internals!). Once the side torso is destroyed, 50% of any further damage goes to the center torso (again, armor before internals). These rules are in place to prevent the location from becoming an invulnerable shield against damage without making it too easy to kill a mech.
Arms just fall off when destroyed, so they can't take extra shots after they are destroyed.
Theoretically, you can core a mech by shooting it's destroyed leg, but the damage would only transfer through a destroyed side torso to the center torso at 25% rate, so it is way easier to just shoot the damn torso

CASE is an upgrade for the section it is in, not for the ammo itself. It directs explosions out vents instead of allowing it to continue inwards. That section will probably be destroyed but the damage will not transfer out of that section.
