Would stomping the soldiers be allowed?

I don't see why not since they plan to add some destructible environment like buildings, cars, and trees. Stomping on soldiers should be feasible.

Yeah to that!

And we could use vehicles too, and in that game mode where you can destroy them, they should also shoot back

I just wander if the engine can handle without massive loss of performance.(which reminds me that this suggestion is one of those that we can at best expect in game around 2015)

As background objects like trees swaying in the wind, would tiny soldiers really cause a significant performance loss? So far I've been running MWO fairly well on my aging 2 year + rig. The only exceptions are the memory leak crashes and 4 fps bug. I can see a full fledged MOBA mode being harder on performance with addition of tanks, and etc though.

So I had some thoughts on MOBA variants of MWO the other day. I think it would be a great experience that makes the case of the 'mech pilot being a part of a larger conflict.

The concerns about frame rates could be mitigated by limiting the team size to 4v4 or 3v3. Balancing would be a little tough since mechs with ammo based weapons could be at a disadvantage to mechs with lasers. (Maybe add energy shields to the regular soldiers/vehicles?) New maps would need to be created or old maps modified to facilitate lane creation. It could also open some opportunities for spending in the mechlab. It could have weapons specifically designed to support MOBA gameplay by either repairing/rearming friendly mechs or by having area/splash damage for taking out the waves of soldiers/vehicles.

I'd like to see both an escort mode and a MOBA mode. I think a MOBA mode would go well with community warfare, finally give a use for machine guns, and allow the devs to showcase the vast array of light vehicles, tanks (both hover and not), infantry, Battle Armor, VTOL and artillery that fill many many a TRO from TT. If implemented in community warfare, each faction could have different unit types.
