I see there is a Negative Experience Penalty for Shooting your own side But only if you land the killing blow

In my last Game there was two players who were Shooting our own side

o0Marduk0o and Colokid these players shot at our own side and even killed one of our guys and when o0Marduk0o started shooting at Me i returned fire and then when i killed him (to save our side in the match) I get the minus EXP (WTF)

What can be done about These two,,, Please Ban them PLEASE!!!!!!

Bump. Seems like others have suggested auto kick upon excessive or repeated team damage. Also seems like auto kick would be the best way to discourage players from assaulting teammates.

Name and shame thread.

On topic: It would make more sense for a gradual loss over time for damage done or a total cost for destroyed mech and components. Beyond that, the penalty would be GIVEN to the player who was attacked. Essentially meaning, if you shot your ally, you pay for damages.

No Name and Shames allowed on the board to second Brickyard's statement. It's part of our forum rules.

This is also something that is being looked into and the devs are sorting out the best way to handle it. The best thing to do now is encourage them to play as a team and protect your team-mates. Then report them through the support so it can be looked into properly.

Sometimes shooting at your team is simply a new player, or misclick at the start so this is going to be a tricky thing to solve, but they are on it after another players mis-guided rampage to ruin our fun.

support@mwomercs.com

Shoot an Email to that with the name and reason.

I did, for the same reason your posting this thread, for the same person too.

Autokick for repeat offenses and excessive team damage would be nice.

Or...any time you cause damage to your team members, your weapons instantly lock up. The amount of time depends on the amount of damaged caused (from a few seconds to the rest of the match).

Also, I'm fine with TK xp penalties; it encourages players to be more careful.

Team kills happen now and again. I did one yesterday i was shooting at a mech and it died and fell over while my guass way on the way and it hit the friendly behind where he was and killed him. Now that is much different then a person attacking his own team but how dose the game decide if the person had a bad shot and missed a enemy to hit a friendly or if they are just team killing. I agree something needs to be done this is just something they have to be very careful how they implement it.

^ Exactly. Penalizing your team because your were too stupid not to run in front of their alpha strike or gauss or ac20's? No bueno.

Let the devs work out a solution, implement it, and then we can help them to refine it at that time. They have acknowledged they are looking into it so it really doesn't pay to keep beating this bush until the system is implemented.
