That bar underneath the score, maybe that has something to do with "capturing the enemy base". The position of the "bars" under it is not conducive to represent the numbers above it. So chances are it has something to do with the OTHER main objective aside from Attrition; Base Capture.
It probably grows in your favor as more and more teammates have full ownership of a base (requiring hopefully but 1 team Mech to get to base in order to stave off its progress)

I was hoping to see either the pilot eject and the 'Mech collapse or even better the 'Mech go critical! I hope they fix it before release coz its looking awesome right now

Sorry, but it's already been confirmed that when Mechs die, they will do a headstand. It's how it was in TT and BTech lore, so it's a faithful reproduction in MWO form.

All I know is that PGI said they'd keep the weapon's TONNAGE and CRITICALS the same, and that all other aspects of the weapons would be up for them to balance.
This means range, damage, accuracy, reload time, cost.... the whole kit n' kaboodle. They're balancing those properties based on gameplay feedback, so it's probably going to end up being a "let's wait and see" in order to know if AC/20's have as damaging a punch as we thought they did, or if certain weapons retain their implied punch at the range we expect.
