So here's my thought.

That bar underneath the score, maybe that has something to do with "capturing the enemy base". The position of the "bars" under it is not conducive to represent the numbers above it. So chances are it has something to do with the OTHER main objective aside from Attrition; Base Capture.

It probably grows in your favor as more and more teammates have full ownership of a base (requiring hopefully but 1 team Mech to get to base in order to stave off its progress)

One thing I did notice was that when that Catapult bit the dust in the Light 'Mech video it just rolled over onto its head and disappeared :wub:
I was hoping to see either the pilot eject and the 'Mech collapse or even better the 'Mech go critical! I hope they fix it before release coz its looking awesome right now ;)

Sorry, but it's already been confirmed that when Mechs die, they will do a headstand. It's how it was in TT and BTech lore, so it's a faithful reproduction in MWO form.

loving the new footage. OMG so much eye candy. I can already imagine folks that were on the fense about doing some PC upgrades have scrap them and made new plans to build whole new rigs just for this game ;)

Cause he knows not to poke the Wolves.

As with all devs, they are gods among men for creating the game that we love; but once the community get their hands on the game and gets some time to play with it, many will rise above the skill of said devs on the battlefield. We are such threats to Paul.

I would never use my Mech to strike against a PGI pilot; but for Paul we will make an exception.

All I know is that PGI said they'd keep the weapon's TONNAGE and CRITICALS the same, and that all other aspects of the weapons would be up for them to balance.

This means range, damage, accuracy, reload time, cost.... the whole kit n' kaboodle. They're balancing those properties based on gameplay feedback, so it's probably going to end up being a "let's wait and see" in order to know if AC/20's have as damaging a punch as we thought they did, or if certain weapons retain their implied punch at the range we expect.

Man, this is looking great! I love the LRM animations... though I'm afraid I'd waste all my ammo early in the match just firing them and looking at how pretty they are :wub:

That's where I noticed it. He could have at least shown us how adding a half-ton of armor is done after all that. Another successfully troll by Paul in the middle of giving us all the wonderful information and videos to ooh and aah over.

Yeah, I'm nitpicking. I love the work and what we're seeing from the Devs, and expect nothing but the best from this game.
