Honestly considering it's a F2P game with friendly fire it's a miracle that every match doesn't devolve into a race to see who can teamkill each other faster. And yet it's less of a problem than it is in, say, any given Halo game on the Xbox.

There will always be the pros who are jealous of my Wang, though, and TK me for shooting parts (not center/side torsos) off AFK guys outside the cap box while we're capping at end.

Add a buff where you take double damage from team mates after hitting them

Just make the TK cover all repair costs and give them auto temp ban if you have 2 TKs in games one after the other. TK accidents do happen but very rarely by accident in back to back games.
as for team mates giving you damage when they requested to cap, its likely that with so many pugs not listening they are just sick of it. My tip would be not to shoot the AFKer when the team has requested you cap. Took me a while to think of that solution LOL

In one match, got a fellow 4 men team trying to wipe out my also 4 men team, as soon as the win was in our hands, just for the lulz and dumb giggles. In another one, someone was a legger. In the next one, the assault loved to run over other mechs specially lights and mediums, on propose. And meanwhile, suicidal people and AFKers everywhere. I understand the real DCers, as the game's still buggy, but AFK? *facepalm*
Anyway! Just report them. If you can, perhaps save some screenshots or use fraps or similar programs.

Even if he piloted a trial mech.

The only fullproof way is to simply turn off friendly fire, but that's a bit of a cop out.

Problem with that is that as a free game, there's nothing stopping me from making 100 accounts and alpha striking my teammates in the back with the trial atlas all day. Plus it penalizes actual accidental TKing even further - these things happen, I've even unintentionally TK'ed with streaks before. We'll probably just have to live with it.

The last game I was in with you, Ptom, you turned around and one-shotted a commando on our team.
He who casts the first stone, and all that.
