About every 3 games I've played tonight our team has had a team killer.

Is there anything pgi is doing to stop such behavior?

Nope, they claim they are but they really aren't.

I caught a couple Atlases on the opposing team doing this earlier - they killed half of them before we even got there. I heard they were at it all day from someone I was playing with.

Honestly considering it's a F2P game with friendly fire it's a miracle that every match doesn't devolve into a race to see who can teamkill each other faster. And yet it's less of a problem than it is in, say, any given Halo game on the Xbox.

Send a report to support@mwomercs.com. They will only take action against multiple reported offenders, as the activity is sometimes a byproduct of normal play. Take names and report.

There should be something like, if you do a significant amount of damage to a teammate, your mech goes into shutdown for a few seconds.

Agreed on that. Or a vote shutdown or something. Quick popup where if they do more than 20 dmg in 10 seconds it says, 'would you like to nominate this person's mech for shut down?' and then your team can f1/f2 it.

There will always be the pros who are jealous of my Wang, though, and TK me for shooting parts (not center/side torsos) off AFK guys outside the cap box while we're capping at end.

Team killing on the rise! Suicides in the streets! Repair costs thru the roof! Can someone please use a meme generator and create for us a commando in a batman outfit so we can call Mechman?!

Add a buff where you take double damage from team mates after hitting them :)

It seems the punishment for a TK isn't high enough. Should be like dodging in Lol, 5 minutes out of the game or something...

It should be that not only do you forfeit all match rewards, both c-bills and xp, but also you lose 50k c-bills, so you end up with a net negative of c-bills before repair and rearm even enters the picture.

Just make the TK cover all repair costs and give them auto temp ban if you have 2 TKs in games one after the other. TK accidents do happen but very rarely by accident in back to back games.

as for team mates giving you damage when they requested to cap, its likely that with so many pugs not listening they are just sick of it. My tip would be not to shoot the AFKer when the team has requested you cap. Took me a while to think of that solution :) LOL

You know how to fix that? change the team kill penalty to charge by team damage and pay out to the harmed team member. meaning team killing or team shooting gives you nothing but more repair bills. Cost to other players is simply a wasted match. No real harm. It would also make players more careful when shooting around their allies, though minor damage to fellows would be unavoidable, it would be minor penalties in most cases.

Well, TKers and suicides actually.

In one match, got a fellow 4 men team trying to wipe out my also 4 men team, as soon as the win was in our hands, just for the lulz and dumb giggles. In another one, someone was a legger. In the next one, the assault loved to run over other mechs specially lights and mediums, on propose. And meanwhile, suicidal people and AFKers everywhere. I understand the real DCers, as the game's still buggy, but AFK? *facepalm*

Anyway! Just report them. If you can, perhaps save some screenshots or use fraps or similar programs.

Just let the offender pay the repair bill for every point of damage he inflicted.

Even if he piloted a trial mech.

You see, there's problems with how to fix this. It's not like other games where you can simply reflect damage or autokick. Reflecting damage will just mean griefers will stand in front of you while they're shooting, autokick will hurt people who accidently kill a teammate (I know it's rare, I've seen it happen maybe once). You can't punish people who accidently hurt someone, and it's hard to filter them out.

The only fullproof way is to simply turn off friendly fire, but that's a bit of a cop out.

Had a terrible accident yesterday after a yellow screen glitch, I Tk'd a raven I thought was the enemy, I don't know if the guy could speak English, let alone understand my apologies but I hoped he did... :)

Problem with that is that as a free game, there's nothing stopping me from making 100 accounts and alpha striking my teammates in the back with the trial atlas all day. Plus it penalizes actual accidental TKing even further - these things happen, I've even unintentionally TK'ed with streaks before. We'll probably just have to live with it.

The last game I was in with you, Ptom, you turned around and one-shotted a commando on our team.

He who casts the first stone, and all that.
