What To Expect When You're Expecting(A Patch)

what are the map makers doing with all their time? what are the mech designers doing with all their time? the play testers are STILL balancing ECM? they STILL haven't figured out how to fix PPCs? Still haven't fixed knockdowns either I guess?
I just honestly don't get what half the people who work for PGI do all day. Seems like if nothing else they could throw together 1 change that would actually affect gameplay, in any area
I like MWO just fine, I just don't understand this glacial pace of introducing content. 99% of the forum whining would go away if we got 2 mechs and 2 maps a month, instead of 1 and none

- I expect a dozen new maps triple the size of actual maps.
- Madcat, Vulture and Daishi.
- ECM working.
- Damage buff for PPC.
- Conquest game mode where both teams need to secure a single resource on the map.
- Escort game mode where one team have to protect a random mech from being destroyed while escorting him to a designated point on the map.
- Capture the flag game mode where both teams need to reach the enemy base and bring some resource back to their own base.
- New reward system which will reward players for their role and engagement in combat rather just showing and not even saying hi.
- Better FPS on low-end machines.
- DX11.
- No more crashes and black screens.

F2P attracts the younger group, though. Not all kids are bad, but see CoD for reference to maturity levels.
People talk on here like the big boys like Blizzard have never released a hotfix after a patch

releasing patches with zero content in them isn't as rare as it should be either. People are not complaining that PGI is blazing a new trail in video games, they're just sad that PGI has chosen to follow others down this road
i guess at least maybe we'll get the privilege of paying for map packs soon, if we can't get them any other way

i hear you there. at this point id pay for new maps, netcode fixes and bug fixes. this game needs optimization before any real content is added but all in all some fresh maps would help stave off this urge to uninstall and move on. i'm tired of the fact a 4,320 dollar laptop built for gaming is only getting 8-12 fps on a game that requires half of what most games i run on it at max settings and keep 40-60 fps on. none of it makes sense. they are more worried about income via goodies vs fixing the game engine and netcode, or releasing new maps to keep this same old crap game mode engaging enough to be playable for the next two to four weeks...if not longer by pgis record.

The only thing I expect is a vast horde of whinging when this patch drops. I would be more then happy to have these expectations ruined.
P.S. Yay for painting my mech finally!
P.P.S. Do you all really think that PGI is not working on every aspect of this game, one step at a time to the best of their ability? Do you think they go into work with a box of donuts and watch **** all day? I somehow doubt it. Considering the short development time this title has had, its come amazingly far. I expect that pace to slow down (and has slow down) and a bunch of instant gratification precious snowflakes are going to lose it. Oh well. The world goes on.

Also, LRM Storm 2: Electric Boogaloo. Almost every match I was in over the weekend was nonstop LRM camping...and they are buffing LRMs. Oh boy.
