If people are harping on something you already fixed, it seems like the response would be, "We already fixed that." Think of it like a little gift. People are complaining about things you've already fixed, which means you don't have to figure out how you're going to fix them. Or you can be ambiguous and sarcastic to the people who are currently begging to pay you money. Your call.

I cant beleve you watched that video and that was your first comment.

It's clearly either a glitch or the explosion hasn't been implemented yet, it won't be like that for the final version, no self respecting developer would allow it.

As for my comments, I think it looks great, animation very smooth, environment looks great, I love how the Mechs glow when they are hit and the way the Jenner is just strafing around taking shots but is generally being ignored due to being a small mech.
Looking forward to playing this!

Looks fine to me. I wouldn't write it off as a glitch for sure.

Unfinished. If they had everything implemented, why wouldn't they release the game (or at least beta) right away? ;)

I don't mean to imply I don't value comments and criticism (I do, moreso than yes-man comments) - however when it's things like:
"That HUD looks unfinished"
or
"That feature looks incomplete"
My eyes twitch. ;)

well beta is there to "finish" game i to see how it handles fix bugs and stuff so ye you can say its unfinished, until we see final version and even when we see final version game will still be improved.

OR you can do the research and/or use common knowledge like everyone else has/already did and find out that the footage is alpha, meaning it shouldn't be taken as indicative of the final product.

In other words, not expect people to hand answers to you! ;)

The problem here is that "common knowledge"...well.....isn't.

I wouldnt put it down as fine. Even in Doom 3 you seen the monsters burn away before vanishing. I'm not saying they won't vanish, but they won't vanish like what we just seen when the game is released.

Why are you quoting me? The game is unfinished? Yeah, it wont even be 'finished' when it releases, as it is a 'Minimal Viable Product' and from what I understand they plan on expanding and working on the project even after it's released.

But that doesn't mean some of what you see in these videos might not be in their 'final' per-release state.

I'd hate to see how you respond to someone who says "That HUD looks terrible," and "That feature looks Bad."

You release trailers for us to watch, and then get perturbed when we point out parts that seem incomplete and ask about the status of their completeness... Dude, it's better than hearing people complain about how the game looks "incomplete, why are you releasing something that looks like this?" I know it's a Beta, but nobody outside of PGI knows what is just an artifact, what's intentional, what's slated to-be-fixed, and what isn't. Sorry to sound rude, but I don't like being called a whiner when I specifically stipulate that what I'm reporting on may/may not be part of the finished game.

Well, animations that break immersion and are obvious on the first look, cockpits with no details that don't match the mechs and such are obvious placeholders to me. ;)

lol. *Hands you a cappuccino* Calm down there buddy. All creatives have this issue.

We crave feedback to help get a better product out to users, be it positive or negative.

But people will not give you any input until you've done lots of work.
Once they see the work you've done, THEN they have tons of input (and it's all counter to the progress made)
And users will provide as few syllables as possible, thinking it provides the most valuable direction.

They don't see it from an outside perspective. "That's bad" tells us ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about what is bad. I think what has happened is that cellular-based thumb-derived communication are why we're not getting back complete sentences or thought processes.

The best you can do is give them a  and say "Thanks for your time.", then throw their feedback sheet away.

And they might remain placeholders even after the 'release' of MWO.

As I mentioned, ragdoll-like physics and persistent bodies are generally graphical settings. You can turn it off in modern games in like Counter Strike - Global Offensive. It might be that in MWO that graphical setting is coming down the pipe possibly before or after release.

Well, some feedback did the exact opposite of what you said and it's already in the game. ;)

Also, I assume you're working for a software company, right? <_<

Actually I thought the Catpult dying and flipping completely over on its head with its feet limp in the air was pretty dang funny.

Yeah of course its not complete. Why do people wring your hands and forcast doom and gloom over a pre-beta video?

Web Development, if you call that software. But a lot of the concepts are similar when you're working with a client in a creative field.
