[Voridan Atreides]

I love this game. It's a thinking mans game and it requires actual skill to do well. However I have noticed that I'm getting a little nostalgic for the old days of Mechwarrior Online. Things were good, weapons seemed to be fine, and balanced (to me anyways) and I surprisingly did not encounter many problems. However things have seemed to slow down once the open beta came out and Ive encountered more problems then I did in the closed beta. I know that there are a lot of topics about this but do you veterans miss the closed beta days?

One thing that I have noticed is my FPS is going up. When I first started playing the CB I got maybe 15fps and crashed all the time, now it runs smooth and yes it still crashes from time to time but not nearly enough to put me in a fit of rage. I think despite all the crabbing the games coming together. Just gotta give it time, the games not even released yet.

I know. It's important to be patient in betas but this is just something Ive noticed. The game does seems to be going a little more smoother then it did weeks ago.

You need a third option for either "both" because I'm still having fun. Your old days of MWO was mere weeks ago, man. Show some flexibility before crying about the days of old where people were chivalrous knights, riding in their battlemechs and the forums were as whiny and b!tchy as ever.

I liked it in Closed Beta.
I still like it in Open Beta.

Closed beta it was a lot easier to do 8 on 8 premade drops... that was fun +1 to closed

Closed beta allowed heaps of choice within your mechs, you got so much cash, it didn't matter what you did with your mechs and was fun for the sake of fun. 8 man premades I MISS a ton, it's not about stomping, it's about the cohesion and playing with your friends, I couldn't give a dam of I got stomped or not.

I'm still having fun too. Like I said I still love the game so how was I crying? Your the kind of person that are helping make the forums b!tchy...don't be a hypocrite.

Have and still do enjoy it. Forums went down the drain once the number of keys issued went up though.

Betty finally in today's patch, Carole Ruggier at that, and people are pre-emptively moaning about it... seriously.

Yeah, a little bit.

I know I enjoyed the forums a hell of a lot more, too.

Closed Beta was better because there were fewer systems to balance. Now PGI keeps trying to push out content before "it's properly balanced" which is supposed to be our job. However with Open Beta and the introduction of real money they must feel the need to keep pushing out new content. That shouldn't be the case.
