Probable reality of the update process:

Bossman: So, we've got feedback from the last update now. Here are sme problems that have crpped up, these ones are small, these ones are big, these ones are priority.

Programmer guy: Okay, I can probabaly spend a half hour a day banging out some of these simple ones. They are most likely just quick fixes to oversights anyways. Some of these big ones wil have to have their sources found and tested though, obviously.

Bossman: Sounds good, keep me updated.

.
.
.
What the whiners wish it was:

Bossman: So, we've got feedback from the last update now. Here are sme problems that have crpped up, these ones are small, these ones are big, these ones are priority.

Programmer guy: Okay, I can probabaly spend a half hour a day banging out some of these simple ones. They are most likely just quick fixes to oversights anyways. Some of these big ones wil have to have their sources found and tested though, obviously.

Bossman: WHAT?!? you will absolutly NOT fix those small, pointless, bugs! you will spend every waking moment on the HUGE ones only!!

Programmer guy: but...like...this one for example...i fixed it in my head alr*

Bossman: NO, NO YOU! You ill shut up, and fix the important things! Also, get that art guy down there to help you, he's just making useless bobble heads anyways. He can figure this code out. DO IT NOW! *flips table at programmer*

Programmer: uhh...but...

Bossman: Also, wear this live feed webcam headband...every must know everything you're doing at all times...make sure you narrate, so the community feels adiquatly communicated with! and get me another table!

More like:

Bossman: So, we've got feedback from the last update now. Some kid says he doesn't like a weapon and he wants it nerfed into oblivion. Also, he thinks a flamer should be able to shut down an enemy 'mech permanently, because his friend made a mod for MW4 that was like that. And some kind of shield thingy from Mechassault, which he says is like Mechwarrior, but better. So that's our new direction.

Programmer: uhh...but...

Bossman: Yeah, and this other guy say he wants something called a "quickscope" and he says he's the best sniper ever in Call of Duty. Also, a sliencer for the Gauss Rifle that makes the bullets more accurate, apparently that's a must-have too.

Programmer: That... isn't a part of canonical Battletech...

Bossman: Oh, like you're gonna know compared to some guy I just met on the internet? What the hell do I pay you for, anyway? This guy says he gets paid to play video games for a living, so he must really know more about it than all of us. Oh, and that reminds me, you're all getting pay cuts, because we're hiring this guy to play our game and tell us what's what. My initial offer is $250,000, but I may have to increase that if he doesn't bite. You might want to think about getting rid of that sedan and taking a bus or something, I don't think you'll be able to afford the monthly payments and either rent or food for your family.

Programmer: Y-You don't mean you really believe...

Bossman: Oh, and about that family - you might want to just get a divorce now and lose the whole house thing before you pay any more into it. Yeah, we're going to a new 23.5hr workday seven days a week here. Some guy who told me he's read a wikipedia article on the software design cycle says you're all a lazy bunch of lying incompetents, and you have to work more to push out bug fixes now - like this one from a guy who says he one-shotted 285 people in the head last night, but none of it counted. We need to stop the other seven people in his PUG from stealing all those kills as a top priority! Jesus, I'd make you all work 24 hours a day, but apparently there's some stupid labor law that says you need to get a coffee break or something. Frigging commies. Those guys gold-farming in Chinese prison are going to take all our jobs in six months, I tell ya.

I think people should calm the buck down! It's not like PGI can use their magic stick and magically repair all bugs. You dont believe me? Well you can check PS2 and tell me how buggy that game is. Yes A LOT buggy.

The conclusion:

Stay

Calm

And

Kill

Big

Robots!

The bug are the same bug that happen in closed beta. Their idea of a fix is to put in EYE CANDY then beg for cash and promise it will all get fix latter, but it never happens.
This is starting to look like wife beating syndrome where the Black and blue wife start to fight the cops when they hall the hubby away for smacking hear.

Thin? What have you expected? :)

light mechs with collision, speed under 100Kph to deal with Net Code shield and dealing with SSRM boating at 100% hit rate that all but blinds the Mech getting Crap on by a streak cat.
I can think of more but thee are just the one off the top of my head. ;)

I did limit my post to sarcasm only, but it is worth adding that I did not expect it this patch. I was appropriately pessimistic about it. However, that doesn't make it any less wrong. I will continue to complain until it's fixed because it should never have happened to begin with.

We should never have been stuck with 4 man team limits and every day it continues is wrong.

Because incessantly complaining about something you have no control over is so productive. It happened , it's done. The fix is coming.

Get over it or stop posting and playing. I didn't agree with it either but I know a fix is coming. I chose to not play and will be back when I can be part of a full side again.

Try harding with reading command chair posts and you won't ask something like that. Information is key.

I don't think they know how to fix the major bugs anymore, else they would have done. Same issues have been around for long enough now. Frame rates, disconnects, now the sound is buggy too. When the number of active players drops off because these things are getting worse not better, maybe then, they will get around to it. This game has severe stability and performance issues. They are known issues, yet they are getting progressively worse. I no longer want new content, I would settle for a major patch that just fixes bugs instead of adding purchasable items every week.

It's not enjoyable and its mostly luck if you get through a game without disconnecting, losing frame rate etc.

they can't fix bugs due to horribly written unmanageble code, i don't think they even try cause it'll take too much time to rewrite the game, their efforts are concentrated on milking the cow while it's still alive.

Well, well, well... it was written in a forum and not sent via e-mail so I am not ok with that. It is a contract issue it should have been sent to every founder via e-mail even if it was not klickt yes on the newsletter. Tremendous change and no minor thing!!!

Furthermore I guess I am not the only one!
